[Harry's POV]
When I was logged onto Wattpad, I updated my new story I had been working on called "Wherever You Are". Never in a million years did I think it would be so popular, but I guess some people just really liked my writing, I didn't see why though. I get hundreds of messages through from people that read my books, and I don't usually read them because when I reply the fangirls and fanboys go crazy and reply back and don't stop. I don't like to see it as ignoring them; I could never ignore my followers, I communicate with them through the comments on my stories, which is much easier and shows them I'm thankful for their support. Though, today, I thought I'd go through a few as I hadn't much else to do.
I opened my message inbox and gaped at how many messages I had. 17,695 of them. Wow.
I read through a few and smiled at some of the kind words and tried my best to ignore and delete the hate ones. Then I came along a message from someone called 'LashtonLou' who's message read 'Hey! I love your fanfics, you're so talented!' I smiled at the simple but thoughtful message and replied with 'Thank you for your support, it means a lot!'
"Louis! Harry!" Mums voice boomed from downstairs. "Dinner's ready!"
I sighed, logging off of wattpad and closing my laptop lid. I made my way out of my room and walked back down the hallway, jumping ten foot when Louis' door swung open next to me, him nearly walking into me.
"Watch it." He scowled, shoving past me with an eye roll.
"S-sorry." I whispered, biting my lower lip. Why was I apologising? He was the one who nearly walked into me. I stayed put for a few seconds before slowly making my way downstairs. When I entered the kitchen, all of my siblings were sat around the table helping themselves to the food. I rolled my eyes and sat in the only spare chair inbetween Lottie and Louis. Sigh.
I noticed Louis hadn't got much on his plate and was just moving the spaghetti and meatballs around with his fork. I furrowed my eyebrows and just guess he felt sick or something and that's why he had the day of school. I shrugged and placed my own food on my plate, listening to the small chatter going around the table.
Mum and dad were nowhere to be seen, though, that was no surprise to me.
"How was school, Harry?" Lottie asked me all of a sudden, turning to me as she attempted to make convocation.
"Alright, I guess. What about you?" I murmured, turning slightly to face my sister.
And, that's how the rest of dinner went. Louis was first to leave the table, then Fizzy and Georgia, followed by the twins and Lottie, leaving me and Gemma. We collected up all of the plates and stacked them in the dishwasher.
"How are you big sis?" I asked, closing the dishwasher and standing up straight. I moved to wash my hands and dry them before turning to her and leaning on the counter.
"Stressed." Gemma replied with a sigh. I knew she had a lot going on at the moment and I did feel sympathy for her; having to deal with us lot just made everything worse, which is why I try and help as much as I can.
"C'mon, I'll put the kettle on." I smiled, moving forwards to embrace my sister. I pulled back and kissed her cheek before pulling back fully and filling the kettle up with water. "Could you pass me the milk, please?" I asked and smiled when she nodded her head and turned to go to the fridge, pulling out the carton of milk and placed it on the counter. "Thank you." She nodded with a sigh and went to sit back down on the table.
Once the tea's were made, I put everything away and handed Gemma her mug, sitting opposite her. "Talk."
"It's just I have a lot going on. My job, taking care of you seven because mum and dad are always disappearing, it's getting to be too much. I know you try to help, Harry, but two people cleaning up after ten isn't really working." She sighed, looking down at her mug with a frown.
"I know." I mumbled, wrapping my hands around my mug as the hear radiated from it, warming my palms. "Maybe if we talk to them, they might help a little more." I offered, moving one of my hands to place on Gemma's.
"They haven't listened to us before, what makes you think they're going to listen now?" She asked, looking directly into my eyes.
"I don't know." I answered with a sigh, lifting my mug up and sipping some of the hot liquid. I placed my mug back down and sighed. "I feel there's something you're not telling me.."Gemma paled, biting her bottom lip. "Tell me Gem, you can trust me, you know you can." Gemma shook her head, her eyes glazed over. "Please don't cry. You can tell me Gem. I'll keep it a secret if you don't want anyone to know." I smiled sadly, standing up and moving around to the other side of the table where she was sitting. I knelt down in front of her and took her hands in mine. "We'll get through this, Gemma, just tell me." I whispered and that's when the tears began yo fall. What was happening?
All of a sudden, Gemma was pulling me into a tight embrace, sobbing into my shoulder. "Tell me. I love you, Gemma, you can tell me anything..."
"I-I... I'm.. I'm pregnant. I'm p-pregnant, Harry."
There you go, two chapters in one day!
What do you think of that then? Gemma being pregnant?
Harry being Louis' favourite Wattpad author?
