The next day was Saturday, and it was also incredibly long. Brian was coming at 4:45 to pick me up, and I had a whole day, from 8:30 to 4:00 to do whatever I wanted. Naturally, I did nothing.
Actually, the first thing I did was get on Wattpad to see if any of the stories I was reading were updated. I spent the better part of my morning at the computer, reading. After that, I decided I should actually get dressed, so when my dad came home for lunch he wouldn't think I was incapable of living when he wasn't around. I washed my face and showered, and then I started making lunch. Dad works on Saturday Mornings, but he has the rest of the weekend free. Usually he spends Saturday afternoons with me, and Sunday mornings, too. Sunday nights he goes over to Sheila's for dinner, and then comes home again.
After I finished reading, I got onto Gmail and signed into chat. Not long after, Amy gets on chat.
[Amy] Hey
Hi
[Amy] wassup?
nm trying to waste time. hbu?
[Amy] talking to u what else. y u trying to waste time?

[Amy] that is so cute i heard its a good movie! have fun!
i will, thanks!
I closed the chat box and decided to kill time by looking at shoes. I always get sucked into the different styles, what's in and what's out for the season... I jump when I hear a knock on my door. Looking at the time on my screen, I see that it's 12:00, and Dad's home. I open the door and hug my father.
"Hey Daddy! I'm sorry I lost track of time, but I can whip up something really quickly for lunch if you want."
"Hi, darling. I actually came up to tell you that I wasn't planning on being around for lunch. I was going to visit..." He trailed off.
"Sheila, I know. It's okay, Dad, go visit your prego girlfriend. I can stay here by myself."
"I just feel bad about leaving you alone so much recently."
"Dad, stop. I know why you aren't around, and it's perfectly fine. We've both got stuff going on. Which reminds me, you might want to just stay at Sheila's unless you feel like cooking for yourself. I'm going out."
"Right. Tell Brian I said hello, please."
"Will do, Daddy. Now go out for lunch, you're gonna be late."
"Thanks, baby girl. I love you. Bye."
"Bye, Dad, I love you, too." He went back downstairs and I resumed my screen shopping. After a while, my stomach grumbled. I went downstairs and assembled the ingredients for macaroni and cheese. After about an hour, I was sitting at the kitchen table with a steaming bowl of cheese-covered pasta.
After lunch I decided to get back on Wattpad and search for some new stories. There was a new book by someone I was following, Ilarocks18. She was an amazing author, and I knew her from school. She was in the grade below me, but she was really nice.
I finished what she had written, and then I signed back into Gchat. After a few minutes of no action, I decided to chat Brian.
Hey, how are you?
[Brian] I'm good, what about you?
Been ditched by dad and am bored out of my mind, but it's all good.
[Brian] do you wanna leave early so we can do something before the movie?
that actually sounds great. what would you want to do?
[Brian] maybe grab a snack and then we could... idk what would you wanna do?
anything's fine with me.
[Brian] there isn't anything i can think of. but i wanted to ask you something
shoot.
[Brian] Aaron's having a party tonight, it's supposed to be fun. his parents are out of town. would you be interested in going after dinner?
sure, just let me tell my dad where i'll be.
can i sleep over at your's afterwards, or is that awkward now that we're dating?
[Brian] it's fine, my parents aren't home either. i'm trusting you not to be cover hog, though.
was i ever?
[Brian] very true. see you at 4:45?
definitely. bye!
[Brian] bye, cassie
After I closed the chat box, I saw it was 3:30. I managed to spend a ton of time reading and talking to Brian. I decided to go take a shower and detangle my hair.
After I got out of the shower, I plugged in my hairdryer. When my hair was finally dry, I straightened it so it wouldn't look nearly as puffy as it normally did after I blew it out. After that I put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a red slightly too-tight tank top, and a black cardigan. I slipped on my black lace-up boots and waited in the foyer with my pocketbook for Brian.
He pulled up not five minutes later, and I met him at the front door. "Hey," I said.
"Are you all ready to go?" He asked. He was dressed nicely, in jeans and a button-down shirt. I nodded and we walked outside. The evening was fairly cool, a nice breeze blowing as Brian drove to the movies. We got to the theatre at 5:05, ten minutes before our movie started. We took our seats near the back of the theatre, the best spot in my opinion.
Everyone else filed in, and the flick began right on time. The movie was really interesting, even though the targeted audience was for kids, not two fifteen year olds out for the evening. Afterwards, we walked across the street to a small Italian restaurant for dinner. We had fettucini alfredo and bread... Lots of bread. For a small restaurant whose origins were countries away, the food was amazing. I was slightly nervous all through the meal, and then I realized that Brian had seen me eat before, and that I was probably the neatest eater I'd known, therefore there was nothing to worry about. I relaxed, and then we got in the car to go to Aaron's.
