Chapter 1:
It was a sunny day in Canterlot. Birds were chirping and horses were playing. The alpha mare, Mary, was playing with her newborn foal. Toby, the alpha stallion, was keeping watch of the herd. Everyone was happy, except one little mare named, Elizabeth. She was the outcast of the herd, nobody liked her because of how she looked. Elizabeth was a normal white and brown paint horse but one of her eyes were green and one was brown. Everybody thought something was wrong with her so they didnt play with her. Elizabeth wasn't fully grown but not as small as a foal. As she was eating grass another horse came over. He was a jet black paint horse with a white patch on his nose, he was a little bigger than Lizzy but the same age, hus name was Jakob. Jakob was Lizzys only friend in the herd. "Hey Lizzy wanna go on an adventure?" asked Jakob. Lizzy had a crush on Jakob so she wasn't about to refuse the offer. "Sure! Where are we going?" questioned Lizzy. "If i tell you, you can't tell anybody, promise?" "I promise, now tell me!" said Elizabeth. "To the Forbidden Woods" whispered Jakob. "The.....the......the Forbidden Woods? Are you crazy? They are called the Forbidden Woods for a reason" said Lizzy. "Yeah but legend has it that there once was a herd of horses that was so majestic and beautiful that they ruled over all herds. They also had a dark side, at night they were demons. Their manes and tails turned to fire, they breathed smoke out if their nostrils, and their eyes glowed red. Yet none of them went through more of a transformation then their leader. Legend says her name was Bella Demone, it translates to beautiful demon in italian. Bella was a majestic white horse with long flowy white hair and peircing yellow eyes. She was bigger than a clydsdale and muscular too, but when night came Bella went through the biggest change of all. Her beautiful white coat turned jet black, her long white mane and tail turned into flames of orange and red, her peircing yellow eyes turned a burning red, she blew smoke out of her nose, and her personality turned demonic" explained Jakob. "Then why are they called the ghost herd?" questioned Lizzy. "Because legend says that one night a storm came an it wasn't your usual storm. This one was a terrible thunder storm and it lasted all night. After that night Bella Demone and her herd were never seen again, but people say that they now live in the woods as a ghost herd and you can still hear them neighing their loud calls and at night you can hear their hooves pounding on the ground and the demonic sounds of their whinies" said Jakob. Lizzy was rethinking about going on this adventure with Jakob but she didn't want to be left here and she didn't want him going alone. After an hour debating whether or not to go she finally chose to go. Lizzy and jacob discussed their plan on how to get there, but ran into one problem. This paticular problem had a name and it was Toby, the alpha male. He stays up all night watching out for the herd but they will have to find a way around him. Later that day Lizzy and Jakob decided to take a nap before escaping. When Jakob and Lizzy woke up it was time.....
