-------------------------------------flashback ends~~------------------------------------------------------------------------------You walked home, zoning out and thinking about the Colonel, until you suddenly realize that Ed was talking. "...so how about it?" he finished. "I'm sorry, forgive me, but what was it you said?" you asked him, looking confused.
"Ugh you never pay attention do you? Oh well, can't be helped." Edward shrugged and repeated what he said. "Al and I are going to go on a mission soon, leaving the house empty. We'll be gone for a few weeks and were wondering if you could please watch over the house while we are gone. Colonel Bastard and Second Lieutenant Hawkeye each have a key to the house, and will be able to be available in case you need something. So will that be alright (y/n)?"
"Yeah that should be no problem." You smile at him, being respectful, as you both arrive at the house. You follow Ed inside and you immediately head upstairs and got fresh clothes and entered the bathroom. You undress and get in the shower and start shampooing your hair. You rinse out the suds and pick up Ed's conditioner and used that, since you ran out of yours a few days ago. You start to lose yourself in thought, thinking about the Colonel. You smile, remembering how he looked at you when you presented your alchemy. Although he always kept his face completely emotionless, you knew that you caught the surprise in his eyes.
Your father always said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and you could always tell how a person is feeling just by looking at their eyes, and not their face.
Felling the heat suddenly go cold, you wake up from your daze. "(y/n)! (y/n)! You fall asleep in there?? Hurry up! Stop using all the hot water!" You caught the words coming from behind the door. It seems that a very annoyed shrimp wanted to take a shower too, so you hurry up and quickly dried off your hair and body. You got dressed and opened the door and a very pissed of Elric stumbled in.
"I'm done alright?" You pushed passed him and entered your room, walking over to your desk. You opened your journal, and started writing about your day. You paused when you reached the part when you entered the Colonel's office. You shake your head, noting that you were dazing off again, and tried to focus. You know that fraternizing with your fellow officers, and your superior, was deeply frowned upon and would cost you your job. You finish your entry and sat it down, and walked downstairs to eat. You could smell the sizzling dinner and you could feel your mouth water.
