Mustang's pace was quick as he made his way through the corridors of the headquarters. Exiting the building brought an unruly sight. A heaping mass of a being stood front and center in the courtyard. Tubes protruding from every muscle he had. Veins pulsed beneath the skin which was spread thin in an ugly grayish hue. His muscles were taught with strength and he stared with his lifeless eye. Suddenly the beast leaped towards Riza, Mustang rushed to her placing himself between the two, bracing to take the full force of the impact.
A loud crash echoed throughout the courtyard however mustang remained stiff eyes clenched shut from the preparation beforehand. Hey inquisitively opened an eye. Why had he not been struck? The answer came in the form of a large hulking man with a singular blonde wisp of curly hair protruding from his otherwise bald head. Alex Louis Armstrong stood perpendicular to the pair of shaken comrades. Sweat beads were forming on his brow. Mustang looked to his right and there only a few feet away was the heaping mass that had just lunged toward him and Riza. now it lay breathing heavily. It had appeared as though Armstrong had thrown the largest stone he could have found at the creature, sending it point of trajectory off course and straight into the marble steps of the building. Mustang stood, frozen in shock and utter disbelief. Then he felt all sensation come flooding back as the beast began to move once more. Fight or flight instincts kick in and Mustang grabbed Rizas hand as she stared just as dumb founded as he had been and pulled her with him towards Armstrong.

The man who had filed the majority of the disturbance reports ran a bakery shop just down the street from the hotel. The only problem with the reports were they were minor things, however they all had one thing in common a darker skinned man with a scare in the shape of an "X" on his face. He apparently hung around a lot sneering at customers and generally being a nuisance. You can't really do much about the matter seeing as the man hadn't actually done anything but the baker was getting more and more persistent about it being dealt with as it was bad for business. You felt a little bummed out after thinking about the task. You weren't on a "real" mission. You were the follow up officer. Great. Whatever it was better than sitting behind a desk all day sorting through reports.
A/n so I'm so sorry for no updates in like a year. It's been a crazy one at that and I sorta lost interest in writing for a long while. I recently moved out on my own and have been swarmed with a whole lot of BS. Another issue is I don't know where i want to take this story anymore but I'm trying to brainstorm. As well as I don't know how I want to do the homunculi. So i must ask how would you guys like to see them be handled? The same way as in the original FMA with the whole they were human transmutations and you need there remains to defeat them or the FMA Brotherhood series where you just have to keep killing them and killing them and they were created by "father". Let me know i hope to update a little better these coming months but I can't promise anything
