Chapter One
Do you want to go to prom with me?” Asked Jimmy Franco towards Jenna Lou. The audience was silent, so muted that I think we all could hear Jimmy’s heart in rapid pounding mood. He has decorated the second best cheerleader’s locker with hot pink, and zebra print crap with letters that spell: Go to prom with me? And then in the bottom Jimmy signed his name with messy handwriting. Jenna would be an ass to reject someone as compassionate, and adorable like Jimmy Franco. He isn’t the most hottest guy in our high school but he is romantic, entertaining, and also cute. What more could a girl want?
Xavier Sheldon, that is who.
Katie Martin steps in, Jenna is stunned and speechless. It is obvious on her expression that she wants to response a loud: “YES!” but it’s Katie who is making her so damn hesitate.
Meet Katherine (Katie) Martin, the school bitch. Most people adore her, others hate her. But in the end, a eighty-nine percent of high school students in the female population that know Katie want to be her. Blonde hair, ocean blue round orbs, dressed in the expensive cloth, and depends on her “daddy”. Everyone has to have at least a blonde bitch at their high school, or else you’re lucky.
“Jim,” She calls him by his first name. It is a mature action.
He turns to her. “Hi?”
She gives him a devious smirk, false compassion in her sea blue gaze. “This is so sweet of you to risk and ask out Jennifer in front of the whole school. You have quite an audience I must comment. But.”
“But?” He questions, glances at Jenna’s tense colors.
“But,” Katie answers with no sympathy or affection in her tone. It’s cold as ice, and paining like getting hit with a metal baseball bat in the stomach area. “Do not take this is the wrong form but…Jennifer already has a date. So this scene you just made is just going to make her guilty. You’re just embarrassing yourself. Do us all a favor, and clean up her locker. Clean yourself off. And leave her alone.”
That she-devil, I think bitterly.
Jimmy grimaces at her, he turns to Jenna who looks like she is about to burst into tears. “I don’t care what Katie says, would you Jenna like to accompany me to prom?”
Katie glares at Jimmy, and then bores her hurtful gaze towards Jenna. She doesn’t know what to response, lose her so called “best friend” and her reputation or go determine true affection. She turns back to Jimmy, puts on her blonde badass girl façade. “Sorry Jim, I already have a date. Clean up my locker when you’re done.”
“Heartless bitch!” Someone from the audience bellows, it had to be Chandler. He is the only person I know who doesn’t fear saying what is on his mind. He is what you call “fearless”, something I envy and admire about him. That’s why he is one of my closest friends.
Jenna broke, most guys and girls began exclaiming rude comments to her. Katie stepped in, and wrapped her arm around her broken friend. “Lets go, I have a manicure appointment in fifteen minutes.”
Jenna is now viewed as black hearted as Katie. I had at least some respect for her because she was actually very cheerful, and nice to other people whenever Katie wasn’t around but right now she just lost my respect for her. I think she lost the respect from most people who just saw her callous side.
