Chapter Two:

I cannot believe my life changed over a dumb Facebook status, and not in the great form either. Prom is a week away, and I’ve been called so much painful dictums from the whore clique or shorted version TWC. Just to protect Jenna, now the new subject in school is that Jimmy replaced Jenna overnight for Kendall. I hate being the center of attention. Most of the school is talking good about me, the other half is talking bad. I don’t like this. Avril is stunned, and so is Chandler. Mostly because I'm going to prom with Jimmy Franco.

“No offence,” Avril begins. “But why did you agree to be Jimmy’s date?”

I promised Jimmy that I wouldn’t tell a soul the true justification on why I accepted his request to be his prom date. But I was also a little offended that Avril is all perplexed about me being Jimmy’s date instead of being excited for me. I do not want to pick a bickering discussion so instead I responded in a nothing tone, “Because.”

Chandler bites into his sandwich, he hates school lunch with passionate so with that his mother makes his own lunch. True fact: Chandler is a momma’s boy, and he isn’t ashamed to acknowledge it. “You’re compassionate.” He states.

I smile. “Thanks.”

“With you accepting Jimmy’s request he won’t feel like a reject anymore. I heard he was sobbing for Jennifer Lou but I guess after you being all compassionate, and accepting him is something pretty cool of you.” He explains. This is why he is such a great friend, but I’m surprised that is single. Oh yeah, he’s a pervert. Sometimes.

Avril frowns, and sets her plastic spoon into her soup. “I didn’t mean it in a bad way, Ken. I was just curious, I’m glad that you have a date to prom. So we can go together but I’m asking why. The school is talking about four main people, that is Jimmy, Katie, Jenna, and you.”

I shrug. “Jimmy is a fun guy. I don’t care about the comments, they’re just remarks nothing true though.”

Chandler nods in agreement. “Just forget it, Jimmy better be good to you.”

“Who are you asking?” I ask him, changing the topic.

“Grace Jenson, asking her tonight. I’ll text you the details, even though I know she will post pictures of Facebook of the scene.” He explains, rolling his orbs but it is obvious that he doesn’t mind at all. Grace is a sweet girl, with a great SAT scores. But Grace is all Chandler can think about, I could see it in his stare whenever she is mentioned or enters the room. She has lunch a different period, but I know that Chandler and her share an elective.

I was heading towards my last period class which is physical education, I do hate having PE in the end of the day but at least I get to home afterwards, shower, and relax to some nice Chris Brown while surfing the web.

Entering the locker room, Danielle is there changing into her grey baggy basketball shorts. I go over and sit down in the bench, while getting my bag out so I could change into a cross country T-shirt, and simple blue shorts. She smiles at me, and I smile back. Danielle is another of my close friends. She is a lot like me, we both have dark hair only mine is darker while her eyes are a hazel color and mine are bipolar, sometimes green sometimes hazel, sometimes blue. It’s rare and odd but I like them like that. Danielle and I would hang out more often if it were not for her overprotective mother, and we don’t have so much classes together. Our lunch period are separate but we do have Art 12 and PE together. So that works out all right. I trust her a lot, a little more than Avril just because I have known Danielle since we were in diapers. Avril came into the picture in freshman year.
