A/N: Warning. There one smut scene in this chapter.

In the Era of Beginnings there once were two closely bonded brothers-radiant gods that lit up the pitch darkness of the endless void. The older brother gave off piercing rays that burned when touched. The younger however, had a light that emitted a muted luminous glow.

The brothers spent endless time traveling aimlessly without purpose. It was a solitary existence surrounded in expanding space and lifeless masses. One day the older brother said to the younger,

"Let us make a world for us to rule, together."

"Lady Mika~ Lady Mika!!!" Isabel cried out. She walked within the residential quarters after she saw that Mikasa wasn't in her room. "Mm... where can she be?" she asked outloud. She turned a corner of a corridor and found a skeleton maid dusting over the ledges and glowing stone ornaments attached to the wall that illuminated the place.

"Oiii~" She chirped rushing towards the maid, her red hair in pigtails bounce as she bounded over.

"Ah Lady Pandemonium!" the maid cried resting a bone hand to her cheek, "Can you tell me if this area is free of dust? I had such a scolding the other day by the master..."

"Oi oi! Don't call me that old fancy name. It's just Isabella, or Isabel, Isa or Izzy. Whatever you like. I sound like an old fart if you call me that." She playfully scolded. Then she paid attention to the maid's request,"Mmm... let's see.." Isabel placed her hand on her lips and looked around. Then she graced a finger over the curve of the wall lamp, "Nah, I think you're good. He's probably stressed out because of you-know-what." she elbowed the ribcage of the skeleton lady and laughed.

"Ah souu..." she cooed. "The master hasn't completely won over the mistress' heart?"

A heavy sigh from Isabel, "Nope, ahh." her shoulders slumped, "They kinda get along but at recently they don't, argh, it's confusing—which reminds me! Um, have you seen Mika? I'm trying find her but I have no idea where she is..." she whined.

"Ohh.. I saw the Mistress leave some time ago with bow and arrow in hand.. but she didn't say where she went."

"Ah! She's at the shooting range Levi made for her!" She cried slapping a fist down to her open palm. "I should have thought of that sooner! Okay, thanks!" Isabel chirped as she started off. But not without giving firm slap on the shoulder. The maid's arm fell out from her sleeve clattering on the immaculate granite floor.

"You welcome, Lady Isa!" She waved with the other. The maid then looked down and picked up her limb.

Mikasa stood at the edge of a precipice that was fenced with a small rail for protective reasons and shooting down targets carried over by bats. Occasionally skeletons blasting out of cannons flew across the black void in front of her. Mikasa would hit them dead center in the chest, causing their bones to scatter every which way. A miniature-sized golem in the form of a lizard continued to refill her quiver, and in the few days that followed doing this-Mikasa came to see it as a pet of some sort.

Her fingers were bandaged to cover blisters, as the string was sharp and much tougher than her old bow. Her arms sore for spending ungodly hours absorbed in this activity. Mikasa wanted to lose her mind into it. To stop her mind and heart from mulling around the thought of him-and of her predicament.

She quickly drew and shot several consecutive targets and her hand reaching as instinct for her quiver, grasped at empty air. There were no arrows left. Mikasa looked off and saw the small stone lizard coming back with a batch of finely crafted arrows in its jaw. The glowing red eyes looked gleeful, reminding her of a puppy; as strange as that sounded.
