*Newt Pictured*
When I slept I went into a dream that seemed to be a memory. I almost wished that it was just a dream not a memory because it was truly awful.

I walked down a street confidently but as I walked people watched, but the people weren't people. Some had no hair or no eyes. Blood was oozing from their faces and they had sores. They looked terrible.

Flare. Cranks.

Those were the two words that popped into my head. They must have been Cranks and they had the Flare. What the heck was that?

That wasn't even the worst part. I appeared to be walking past them as if they didn't exist.

"Hey! I'm a crank!" One yelled at me.

"Kill me!" Another said.

I just walked past them all. I seemed to be in deep thought. And I had a mad look on my face as if I were mad at someone. When I finally made it to a building I opened a door and my dream faded. I woke up with a gasp and realized I was shivering.

"You alright?" Newt asked now awake if he even was asleep.

"Yeah. Just a dream." I say and push my hair out of my face. I closed my eyes but that didn't help. The Cranks faces were still there no matter how much I blinked.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Sure."

"Come up here." He moved over so that there was enough room for me. I climbed in and he asked me, "What happened?"

"Well it was me but I wasn't in my body. I was watching. I was walking down a street and there were these...people...if you can call them that. Some had no hair or eyes sores and blood oozing from their faces. They were yelling at me, 'I'm a crank!' 'Kill me!' But I just walked past them like none of them were there. Then I walked into a building and it ended. Every time I close my eyes I see their hideous faces." I say.

"Wow. Do you think it was a dream or a memory?"

"I think....I think it was a memory. I had one before but that one was happy. Like I remembered it from a person. Do you want you know something?"

"Yeah?"

"I honestly think this place is a prison and I don't think I'm going to make it. So I want you to promise me something."

"Why me?"

"Because you're my best friend here. The only one I can really trust."

"Okay, what do you want me to promise?"

"Promise me that even if something happens to me you'll always be there."

"I promise."

"Yay." I say with a smile.

"I think it's time we sleep." Newt said.

"Yeah." I say laying down.

Newt started to get out of bed to go to the floor.

"Newt?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you stay with me? Just for tonight."

"Sure." He got back and bed and said, "Goodnight Sabrina."

I then drifted into a sleep that I hoped was good.

I dreamt of different things. Sand, more Cranks, but one dream made me feel happy.

It was the same boy that I played tag with before except we were probably older. I looked to be 14 and him maybe 15.

We were sitting on the top of a building with tour feet dangling off the roof. My head was rested on his shoulder and we were holding hands.

"What do you think it's going to be like?" The boy asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What do you think it's going to be like in the maze?"

"I don't know."

"I think it's going to be terrible. I won't have my partner in crime anymore. You'll be in Group B and I'll be in Group A unless they change it."

"Yeah. I'm going to miss you." I say and a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Me too. They take me tomorrow and I want you to remember that I will find you. Don't worry. Okay?"

"Okay."

We kissed and I finally saw the boys face. Sure it was younger but it was no doubt Newt.

I woke up with a start and accidentally kicked Newt right beside me.

"Ow." He said, his voice muffled by the pillow.

"Sorry." I say.

"It's okay. Maybe you are dangerous."

"I'm no-" I say but I fell off the bed onto the floor with a thump.

"You okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. Let's get breakfast."

He helped me up and we made our way to breakfast.
