I jolted upwards and jerked my eyes open. Without wanting to, my chest heaved up and down to catch my breath. I awoke to pitch black, as soon as I remembered that I was not in my house. I was somewhere different.
I looked around as my eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. A little light was illuminating from a lamp, but the lamp was covered by a dark cloth. With the little light, I could make up figures of items all over this place. But there was no door.
I patted my hand around this steel hard object I was laying on. It was hard and cold as stone. I pulled my self up and as soon as I was on my feet, I felt a sharp pain shoot through my right leg. I looked down at my shin and there lies a deep hole with blood gushing out slowly.
I squinted hard until I could finally make out a little metal tube that seemed to be stuck in my shin, causing this pain.
I reached to it and planned on pulling it out, until I felt another pain strike my shin.
What is this?
I looked around this room, my eyes still straining to see, and noticed a what looked like a ittle cabinet with two small drawers.
I balanced on my left leg and slowly lowered myself to the ground. I crawled on the cold floor until I got to the cabinet.
My hands felt around the steel cabinet until I could finally feel a handle, and I pulled it open.
With a small tug, the drawer opened faster and smoother than expected.
I felt around the inside and felt what seemed like cloth and shoes.
I moved on to the next drawer and felt many papers stacked together.
Them I heard heavy foot steps.
"No, she should be still sleeping. She will wake up about 5 minutes, until the serum dies out."
Said a voice much deeper than usual.
I held my breath and stayed in the same position for minutes even after the sound of footsteps disappeared.
Who was that?
I felt around inside the cabinets some more and felt more strange objects I could not set my mind to.
Then, I heard loud footsteps again. I figured the 5 minutes passed, so I sprung up quickly, only to let out the softest Goran possible as I crumbled back down when I felt the pain shoot through my leg all over again.
I crawled back to the steel bed as fast as possible, and lifted myself up to it.
At this point, I felt loud thumps arise on one of the walls in this cell.
I rushed to get back to the last position I remembered I was in.
As if by a miracle, I managed to settle myself onto the bed before someone walked in.
"Florida." said a deep scratchy voice.
My eyes jerked open as I turned to see somebody. I didn't know who. It was strange.
"That's me." I said, my voice sounding a little more defiant than it should have.
"Follow me." It said, and I stayed motionless there holding my aching leg.
"Ah, right." it growled. "Sorry about that. Let me just..." it reached towards my shin with a white cloth.
I slapped the hand away with a quick jolt. "Okay. Whatever." It shrugged. It threw me the cloth and I wrapped it around my own leg, like I have seen the medical group from Safe do a dozen times when someone gets injured.
"Now follow me." It left the room and I could hear it waiting by the door.
I got up slowly and turned to its direction. I didn't know what it was, but it looked like... like we were from the same pack. It had hands and feet and legs, etc. But it was muscular, and it had short brown hair that stood up slightly, with hazel eyes, and a strange tanned body.
It was beautiful.
