I was sitting on my bed reading. More like waiting. Rapheal said he has arranged for me to have a visitor; it was very rare for me to have visitors and when I did they where usually not for a good reason. So I sat there waiting in fright for the visitor that awaited me. I hope it's a good reason and yet I doubt it is. The last time I had a visitor it was a woman named Sophia. She was here to show me how to hunt. I hadn't really enjoyed that. She was ruthless and vicious. She enjoyed the sound of human screams and the way they plead for their lives; it was sickening.
About half an hour later I hear a knock on the door. This is it I say to myself. I slowly walk up to the door bracing myself for what lay behind it. The first person I saw was Rapheal ; he always liked to be at the front it made him look like he was in a position of power, he usually was. Behind him was a taller man, he was blonde and had a surprisingly young look to his face. He looked like he was probably 20. But that wasn't all there was something human about him but he was definitely a vampire
"Clarice , this is Francesco, he will be training you on what to do in the ceremony"
"Ceremony? What ceremony" I
"That is what I am going to teach you" it was the first time I heard him speak yet he sounded familiar , he sounded so young it was hard to believe he could teach me that much.
"I shall leave you guys to get on" and with Rapheal left.
"So take a seat" Francesco was the one telling me to sit down as if it was his room. It wasn't. I sat down anyway ; I needed to know what the ceremony was.
" I take it you are 17 going on 18 is that correct?" He asked taking out a notebook and a pen
" yes" I feared saying anymore I learnt that the hard way with Sophia
"How many months until you are 18 " He didn't even look at me
"Less than 2 months"
That seemed to surprise him. He paused and looked up from his notebook making eye contact for the first time. I know now what was human about him . It was his eyes. Something was not right.
"We have even less time than I feared"
"I'm a fast learner"
"That is not what I meant"
What was he on about?
"I need to tell you something"
"Ok"
"I'm not here just to teach you I am here to help you escape"
