''As the cabinet closes the bottle opens, drink up Lyds!'' Jinny poured her best friends Crystal-Rae and Lydia another Glass of her finest pinot white wine. Lydia nursed her glass in an attempt not to check her phone while her bubbly blonde best friend Crystal-Rae curled Lydia's auburn hair for her. It was the girls first night out together since Lydia split from her most recent boyfriend Barry. Lydia's mother warned her beforehand that it was too soon for her to be seeing someone after her messy break up with Peter but she didn't listen.

Crystal-Rae turned Lydia in the chair to show her the master piece she has created. Jinny looked at Lydia in awe as her angelic curls framed her face. "I don't think I can do this; I don't think I'm ready to put myself out there." Lydia said while sipping her wine. Lydia was never one for a crazy night out every weekend part of her problem was that since she was younger she has always been in a relationship, however they always ended and she would be sitting alone broken hearted again. She had been through it all engaged at a young age if you can even call it an engagement. The ring was from Argos she had underwear sets more expensive than her ring. Her first serious boyfriend had some serious mother issues. She always knew they had a close bond but when he slept in his mother's bed when he wasn't very well was the final straw for her.

Then there was the love of her life Peter they had met on a dating website and they were the perfect couple they had plans to spend the rest of their lives together. On the other hand over the Christmas period they had both been busy in work as she works in retail and he works in the local theatre he cheated on her over the whole 6 weeks they never saw each other the excuse he gave her is that he was frightened of not having slept with many women before her. They tried again and Lydia allowed Peter to have more freedom in the relationship, that was a big mistake.

Then there was her most recent boyfriend Barry he was nice enough but everyone told her it was too soon after Peter, they started dating a month after she and Peter split for the final time. Lydia really liked Barry but her nearest and dearest were not as supportive. He also wasn't very good in the bedroom department. Barry also failed to tell her that he was a virgin when they met which was the main joke in work after they split up. Crystal-Rae and Marie had given her the new nickname Cherry Slayer after they later learned that Lydia had slept with 4 virgins out of the 12 people she had slept with. The nickname was funny and Lydia didn't mind maybe it was her time to be single she was only 21 after all.

Lost in her thoughts of the past and how her future would turn out. Crystal slaps lydia's ass to get her attention! "You need to stop thinking about those idiots Lyds and enjoy the night and the way you look now if you do not pull tonight I will eat a kebab out of the bin!" Lydia and Jinny started laughing at Crystal's rather blunt remark. The girls started reapplying their make up and Jinny rings a taxi to take them into the city centre so they can look classy drinking cocktails while getting absolutely wasted.

"Selfie time, get those sexy arses of yours in these photos girls!" calls Jinny who starts posing with her half empty glass of wine. The girls then started pulling pouts, smiles and lots of funny faces they managed to take about 20 decent selfies before the taxi pulled up outside Jinny's house. The girls put on their heels and trotted along the drive way to get into the car. In turn they all check their bags to make sure they had the key essentials; phones, money, ID, lippy and at least one of them had a selfie stick handy even though Jinny had selfie taking down to a fine art. After about ten minutes in the car the girls pulled up at the top of the nightclub strip. It was Lydia's turn to pay for the cab and since she sold a few more life bags and catalogues
in work she was able to afford more, being single helped her aswell. The girls strutted to the first bar found a booth and got three cocktail jugs. Blue lagoon, a cosmopolitan and a woo woo. "Here's to girl power and freedom of a single life!" Crystal shouted as the three girls clinked glasses to initiate what would be a most memorable evening.

Lydia danced the night away, drank way too many cocktails and kissed a few too many guys but she felt good about herself feeling like she was somehow free from heartbreak and suffering. This was when Aengus took more notice than before that she could be different. "I've influenced her love interests once before with ease, mortals are too easy to manipulate these days." He thought to himself he had already influenced Peter to cheat on her and break her into little pieces which worked for a time the latest one he didn't need to interfere. "Lydia messed that one up on her own." He thought again as he dispersed into the shadows of the rock club Lydia was in with her friends, before he returned he looked her her smile glowing on her pale yet beautiful face. "She is just like how Maebh was." He spoke to himself as he traveled back to the other world.

However Aengus wasn't the only god that was watching her grow into a head strong young woman. Morrigan the Goddess of war had noticed a change in the curse that Aengus had placed those eons ago, no other God approved of his action but there was nothing they could do to undo the curse. Dagda the Good God had already tried to undo the curse when the first descent of Maebh committed suicide.  when Aengus returned to the other gods they were standing in a circle ready to confront him about this curse.  "this has gone on long enough Aonghus, that maiden shouldn't have to suffer like the rest of her ancestors because you are still bitter." Dagda spoke with ease and concern.  he feared for Lydia and her life, he sensed that he curse ends with her and he dreaded to think how this curse will end.  "If my wife to be hadn't been a cheating whore then I wouldn't have cursed her family and her bastard son!" Aengus Roared and flew to his lair to lay low and refocus his energy.

Morrigan turned to Dagda with concern in her eyes "I feel a war approaching us and it starts with that girl on earth, she will discover her curse eventually." Morrigan says to Dagda while she watches Lydia in the pool below them. "Then it is our job to guide her through and discover her curse and her destiny to stop it." Dagda replies as he walks away from the pool, leaving young Lydia enjoy herself for what could be one of the last time.
