The coffee shop was rather quiet today she thought as she sat by one of the windows that looked out to the horrible dull day outside. She wasn't a big fan of the sun so the rain and the cold made her happy, but like anyone else she complained when it was too cold and complained when it was too hot. She loved when the sun was out but it still rained. She always felt the rain hitting the ground was soothing and always helped her concentrate on the books she read. The coffee shop was too empty for it be a Saturday, it was usually quite full and you had to wait in line, but today was different, it didn't usually matter Whether it was raining or sunny or cold, the place was almost always busy, but she had counted 12 people in the shop, most were sitting with friends and chatting, some sat on there own, just wanting to get out of the rain, and not wanting to go into a pub or fast food restaurant.
she picked up her cup to take a sip, releasing that there was nothing left. " I haven't drank two grande hot chocolates already have I?" she asked herself looking down into her empty mug.
"i have" she looked at what she had left to read her book, a few pages, another one wouldn't hurt.
She had gone to to join the small cue to order another when she pumped into someone, dropping her mug, causing it to crashed to the floor and smashed.
"crap, am so sorry, i wasn't looking where i was going."
"no no it was my fault i barged in, not looking"
The voice came out rushed and cold, and when she looked up, he was staring straight at her.Big brown eyes where her first and only thought as he smiled and turned away from her, apologizing to the flushed employee who had appeared to clean up the mess they had made.
Watching the man walk away, his coat wet and his semi long hair drenched by the downpour of rain was sticking to the shape of his head, she was still watching him forgetting for a second why she standing in the first place.

After ordering herself another Hot chocolate, she stood by the condiments table to add some chocolate on top of her cream. The man she had pumped into stood in front of her, he was quite tall, standing up straight with broad shoulders, he moved gracefully, adding sugar to his coffee. Watching him closely as he poured not one, not two but 5 little packets. How could that taste nice. She had never liked the smell of coffee, and had never tasted it, but all that sugar couldn't make it smell or taste better. And it couldn't be healthy.
"would you like some coffee with your sugar Sir" It come out before she had the chance to think about what she was saying. He turned to look at her, those Brown eyes stopping when they came to look up at her, recognizing her as the girl before, he smiled.
"ruff morning" he replied with a smile. turning back he began to stir his Sugar into his coffee.
"ruff enough to have more sugar in your coffee than, well, coffee?"
Shut up, she thought to herself, just grab your mug, smile and walk away before you say anything more stupid than you already have.
She grabbed her mug without putting her chocolate on her cream and was about to turn when the man spoke back at her. "ruff morning of Grading papers and wondering if my students listen to anything i say in class"
Almost not hearing him, his voice low.
she turned to see him smiling at her. Those big brown eyes staring straight at her, Dammit she thought, am such a sucker for Brown eyes. Those eyes held a curious look. staring at her then the mug in her hand.
"Didn't you want something from here, or do you usually just come and stand by the condiments table and watch strangers?"
Was he being sarcastic? Didn't he see her put the chocolate on her cream? He was watching her, waiting for her reply
"yes, i was just sprinkling some chocolate on to my hot chocolate" because that didn't sound stupid or childish. She watched as his smile fading from his eyes changing from curiosity to be replaced by confusion. "why didn't you?" he asked her.
"I did" he pointed down to her cup. following his finger she stopped at the mug in her hand, the cream had started to melt and there was no traces of the sprinkled chocolate. You're such an idiot.
"Must have got distracted" she walked to the table to sprinkle the chocolate. When she turned, the man had left and was now taking a sitting at the opposite end of the window by the door.
