I held the fish flakes in my hand as I watched Choncé swim in fast circles.

"Stupid fish" I said.

Jacob burst into my room holding a pink Barbie microphone.

"I've got it!" He shouted at me.

"What?" I asked curiously.

" I'm going to sing to Choncé to make him grow into a big strong fishy!" He said with a huge smile that reminded me of a five year old.

"Uhh o-"

"YOU GOT THE BEEESTT OF BOTHH WORLDS!!!! CHILL IT OUT, TAKE IT SLOW THEN YOU ROCK OUT THE SHOW!!! MIX IT ALL TOGETHER AND YOU KNOW YOU GOT THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!! YEAHHHH!!" He screamed, holding the microphone to his mouth.

I stared at him, stunned. Then I start laughing uncontrollably.

"HAHAHAHAHA!" I bursted.

"What! This is serious Reagan!" Jacob said with a sad face.

"Oh okay, I'm sorry" I said trying to control my laughter.

I hear a chime from my laptop. I pick it up and sit on the floor by my desk, where Jacob was still singing. I open the DM and read the latest message.

@harrystyles: Hey Babe x

I smile and blush and then respond.

@reaganstyles: hey Harold!

@harrystyles: how are you? X

@reaganstyles: great wbu?

@harrystyles: I'm fine what are you doing? X

@reaganstyles: I'm watching Jacob sing to Choncé

@harrystyles: who's Jacob?

@reaganstyles: my best friend

@harrystyles: oh

@reaganstyles: yep

I waited five minutes but he didn't respond. I understand, he's really busy. I realize that Jacob stopped singing. I turn around and find Jacob with his hand in the fish tank playing with the fish.

"Jacob! What are you doing?!" I yell.

"Playing with Choncé?" He says like it's normal.

"Well your not supposed to have your hand in the fish tank! That's gross!" I say with a look of complete disgust.

"Okay fine." And with that he wipes his wet hands on my blankets on my bed.

"EWWW! Jacob!!!" I shriek.

  He laughs and runs out of the room. I clean my room and check Instagram again. Nothing. So I grab my phone and check the time. It's 7:48pm. I decide I want to walk to the Starbucks down the street. I step outside of the apartment building and zip up my jacket. It's November and it's cold. Crossing the street I feel leaves crunching under my boots. I see the cafe and run to it, desperate to get out of the bitter cold. I order a venti, vanilla latte. I guess I won't get any sleep tonight. I sit down at a small table by a large window and look outside. It looks peaceful. I pull out my phone and see that my friend Carly has texted me.

Carly: hey

I take a sip of my latte and text back.

Reagan: hey hey hi

Carly: what's up!

Reagan: I'm at Starbucks

Carly: look behind you
