All in a Second (Romano and Spain breakup)

It all happened in a second. This sudden nothingness, this gap where love had once lived, all of it formed in one second.

"Forgive me or don't, I don't care anymore. You are a filthy piece of garbage that deserves to rot with the rats. From now on, we are done! You hear me?"

Never before had Romano heard words like this coming from his lover's mouth. They stung like a punch to the groin and their sudden coming left him breathless and unknowing of how to respond. Antonio had never been like this – no, he was kind, loving, always giving Lovino attention even if he didn't want it. He wasn't like this. Yet here he stood, yelling these words during a fight that had just sprung up from nowhere. Tears streaked down Romano's face as Spain seemed to rip away the last bit of purpose from him as the words left Spain's mouth. He could feel the hole forming, the world beginning to crush him with the despair he had spent so long running from, all of it flooding back. He didn't respond, not paying attention to anything going on around him as he processed everything that had just happened.

Lovino was snapped out of his dazed state as he was suddenly brought to the ground by a suitcase thrown by Antonio. "Here are your things Lov – no – Romano. Now go and never come back. I'm sick of you never showing me any affection while I give you everything. Leave me, you idiot Italian."

Romano picked himself up, grabbing his suitcase and walking to the door. Right before he left, he turned his red, puffy, and destroyed eyes towards his ex-lover and said the last words any nation would hear from him again. "Ti amo, Toño. Mi dispiace for everything. I don't think I'll be at the next meeting. Or any others to be honest, not that you would care, you stronzo." He turned his back to the enraged and confused nation as he slammed the door to the outside behind him and ran off to his home, cursing to himself and sobbing, sobbing for his reckless actions that caused the one person who liked him more that his fratellino to leave.

"I don't think I deserve happiness anyway. A dumb bastard like me doesn't deserve love or life after all."
