I sat on the couch watching Luke with our newborn baby girl. I smiled to myself as he slowly rocked her in his arms. She looked so tiny in his arms. I'd never been so happy in my life than in this moment.
Luke smiled over at me with pride in his eyes. I grinned back and got up. I walked over to my amazing husband. He leaned down and kissed me on the side of my head.
"She's an angel." He whispered looking down at our sleeping little angel. She really was. She was the best thing that Luke could have given me.
"She looks just like her daddy." I told him smiling.
Luke grinned at me and went back to staring at her. He gently ran one of his fingers over her tiny cheek before kissing her forehead gently.
"You're not going to put her down are you?" I giggled.
"Nope." He said happily.
"I guess that means you get to change her and feed her..." I trailed off.
"I'm daddy hemmo, now. I can do anything." He said proudly.
She made a hiccuping sound in her sleep and he giggled watching her. He touched her little hand and her blue eyes fluttered open staring at him. She didn't cry, she just stared up at him.
"Hi, baby girl." Luke said and she smiled.
"Did you see that! She smiled at me!" Luke said proudly grinning.
Luke was so tender and sweet just like I always knew he would be. He rocked her back to sleep then gently placed her in her bassinet and wrapped me in his arms. We stood together staring down at our little miracle.
"I love you." Luke said kissing my head.
"I love you." I said closing my eyes and I truly meant it.
