Surprisingly that next morning, I did not wake up with a killer hangover like I thought I would have. I guess that my buzz had faded while with Gracie, or maybe I had just slept it off, whatever the case may be, I woke up in a rather unusual good mood.
The first thing I did when I got out of my bed was strip off the sheets and put them on the floor by my closet, they smelled like sex. Then grabbing some clothes I headed for the shower, wanting to get the smell of alcohol, sex, and chlorine off or me that still lingered over from the night. Shutting the door of the bathroom behind me and locking it, I then stripped off my boxers, and jumped into the shower, letting the hot beads of liquid beat on my bare back. In the shower I washed my hair and body and even brushed my teeth before getting out and dressing in simple clothing; khaki shorts with a black v-neck and black Nike shoes.
There was nothing like feeling clean after a long night of feeling dirty. I walked down the hall to throw my dirty clothes in my room, it was about ten in the morning, so I tried to be quiet to not wake up Andrew or Gracie.
“Did you see her face when you told her that!” Andrews accent bellowed through the front door as he walked in holding a platter of coffee cups and a small white bag in his hand. Gracie came in right after him, holding another small bag in her hand, laughing like a hyena. I was surprised to see her looking clean. That sounded rude but the last time I saw her she had dirt covered over her and was wearing dirty shorts and a white tee shirt. I guess she went home to change, because she was wearing ripped skinny jeans, with a floral shirt that hung off the shoulder, and purple vans on her feet. Her black hair was in waves down her back, her smile lighting up the room.
She looked cute. “Oh blimey Jace you missed it! Gracie here is hilarious! We were out getting coffee and donuts when a girl who I had slept with a while ago, came up to me and started to yell at me for not calling her back. Well so Gracie clung to me and told the girl that she was my girlfriend! So funny! Wanna know what she said to her?” Andrew asks me, his eyes wide with amusement as he set down the coffee cups and went over to put his arm over Gracie's shoulders, “Her exact words were 'so you can go and take you STD infestation somewhere else, cause he is not interested in you!' Oh god it was so good! I thought the girl was going to slap Gracie! But she just ran off!” Andrew said after making a bad imitation of Gracie's voice, it was even funnier in his accent.
“I actually felt really bad afterward, I don't like to see people cry” Gracie said moving out from Andrews arm to go sit at the table to eat a chocolate doughnut.
At this, Andrew started to crack up all over again, tears visibly running down his face. “Yeah mate, I had to stop her from going after the girl and apologizing! Funniest thing man! Where'd you find this one at?” He laughed harder, hitching his thumb at Gracie who now had chocolate all over her face. She looked up at us, sensing we were talking about her, cheeks full of bread and eyes raised high. “Oh god!” Andrew was on the floor laughing now, after seeing Gracie’s face.
I laughed too, handing her a napkin she cleaned her face and went right back to eating and drinking her coffee. “How long have you two been up?” I ask them, I mean we went to bed probably at four or five.
“Well I woke up at eight, and Andrew heard me going through your fridge, both realizing that it was empty, we left to go get food!” Gracie chirped, holding up the bags of donuts and cups of coffee, excitedly.
I raise my eyebrow at the food, looking at her questionably. “You call that food?” I ask her laughing,
“Andrew bought it, he wanted it!” She explained, putting her hands up defensively. I looked around for Andrew and realized he was gone. I was about to call out his name when he walked out butt naked, the only thing covering him was a guitar that was hanging down, covering his junk.
