Chapter 10

When I got to the address the woman on the phone gave me, I saw this humongous building. I was in awe. It was so big. I parked in the parking lot and walked in. There was a desk in the center. I walked up to it.

"Ah Tim, you made it." The woman, who I recognized on the phone, said. She grabbed the phone and after a minute, a man, who I assumed was James, walked to me.

"I'm James. You must be Tim." He greeted me.

"It's nice to meet you James. I can't say how much I appreciate this opportunity."

"I could say the same about you. You have so much talent and we can't let that go to waste. Let me show you around."

We started walking around the building and talking.

"So, you got anyone at home?" He asked, smiling.

"Actually, I do. Her name is Faith. She also can sing, but she doesn't think so. She's the one that pushed me to come here. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for her."

"You should bring her sometime and let us hear her and talk to her. I'd love to meet her."

I shook my head. "I'll try, but she's a stubborn woman." I laughed, which made him laugh.

A kid walked up to James. "Dad, what are we having for dinner?"

"I'm not sure Jamie, ask mom." James replied to his kid.

Jamie ran off and we kept walking.

"How about you come to my house for dinner?"

I hesitated. "It's fine. I'll just go back to the hotel. I don't want to be a bother."

"Oh lord. You're definitely coming to my house if you're going to eat hotel food in Nashville. Come on."

I followed him to his big black truck and we headed to his house with Jamie and his wife.
