*After the auditions in the auditorium*
Monica's POV
This is just amazing! Just AMAZING! All these years of music school finally payed off. Sure I never dreamt of being a professional musician but.... no...no don't get ahead of yourself. This whole thing could be over in 3 months. I shouldn't get my hopes up. While I was thinking about what the future holds for this new band three girls walked in they were about tha same age as me. At least they looked like it.
"Everyone, meet everyone!" said Caitlin (casting director and now my manager I guess...)
"Monica" she pointed at me. "Kati" she pointed at the red haired girl. "Holly" she pointed at the brown haired girl. "And Maggie." she pointed at the blond haired girl with maroon ends. We all greeted each other . By the looks of it they seemed really nice.
"Okey, time for a band name. Anyone has..." Caitlin got cut off by my cell.
I took a quick look at my phone before nervously answering it. Him again...
"I can't talk right know, you idiot. I told you Daniel, it's over so stop calling!" I hung up before he could say anything.
Everyone was giving me a look that just said "umm.. okey.."
"Sorry it's just my stupid ex. Apparently he's looking for another heart to break. Pff"
"That’s it! Ladies we have a name for the band.” Caitlin walked up to her desk and wrote something on a piece of paper “ Take a good look because this is what millions of teens around the world will doodle in their notebooks, on their desks, books, walls and at any other place they will be able to.”
We all looked closely and saw three words put into one.
“Heart2Break? Are you kidding me?!” I laughed sarcastically. “ We’re gonna be a commercial of broken hearts? Write silly love songs about how we’re in pain?! “
“O God no! You’re gonna show that your music, talent, and well… looks are heart breaking! In a good way! Plus it’s very catchy! “
“ I think it’s good” said Holly
“Me too” said Kati and Maggie at the same time.
“Monica? Don’t make this any harder. “ Everyone stared at me. My new band mates just gave me neutral looks but Caitlin’s cold, bitchy…God!
“Okey, as long as it’s like you said. Confident, proud, and… not desperate”
“Perfect! Now I want you four to go get something to drink, go shopping, go to a party, I want you to get to know each other. You’re gonna be working together and we don’t want no hate in the group got it?”
None of us answered we just noded our heads shyly.
“And for God’s sake loosen up and open up! Your all so… uptight..”
“Your one to talk” Maggie whispered looking at the floor.
“You say something ?”
“Nope” she barely kept herself from laughing
We all did.
“Okey then, off you go and meet me here tomorrow at… 9 a.m. sharp.”
We walked out of the auditorium.
“Sooo.. bonding….” said Holly
“Well my cousin is opening his club tonight we could go check it out. It’s supposed to be really…hmm... how should I put this…modern. Plus, two bands are supposed to be playing there. He wouldn’t tell me who but that I’d love them.” proposed Kati.
“OMFG! I’m like so in!”
“Yeah, me too! “
“I’m definitely there”
We all were excited. Well who wouldn’t be! We get accepted to be in a band and get to go to a club opening! This is so AWESOME!
“Great so let’s exchange numbers and I’ll text you where to meet me and my cousin will just drive us there. “
We exchanged numbers and went our separate ways. OMG! It’s 4 pm I gotta get ready !
