Chapter 9

A/N just gonna jump right into the chapter!!

Crystal's POV

I climbed out of the car after a quick hug and was walking towards my door when I heard a male voice.

"Crystal?" Louis said as a slowly turned around.

"Hm?" I asked, looking straight into his eyes and immediately getting lost in them.

"Two questions." He stated.

"Which are...?" I asked, suggesting him to continue.

"Well, ones a statement. I'll pick you up tomorrow after school at 5:30 and we're going somewhere. Dress up, but still be casual. Just look nice. Two, whats your phone number?" He asked, and also stated.

"One, what if I don't want to go somewhere with you, and two, figure it out yourself!" I said suggestively.

"Well we're going anyways. And okay, I will! I picked up Kat's number anyways, I bet she'd tell me! Now bye!" He said, driving off with a smile.

I gasped and just rushed inside, shutting the door behind me.

"MOOOOM, WHERE ARE YOU?" I yelled.

Our house is very big and has an echo, so if one person yells, somebody on the other side of the house is likely to hear it. It's really, really huge. We have a game room, a home theater, and the kitchen is upstairs. 

(A/N did I mention that? Anything different than what I've said before, I have bad memory, so just go along please thanks)x.

"I'M UP HERE. AND STOP SCREAMING, YOU IDIOT! YOUR BROTHER IS TAKING A NAP HE HAS HAD A BAD DAY!"

Really, mom? Then why is the world are you screaming?!

I bounced upstairs, still wondering what has gotten into my mom. It was 4:00 p.m. 

And I was and hour later than I was supposed to be home from school, no wonder she'd be mad.

I reached the upstairs, searching around the rooms. I found her finally in the kitchen baking cookies.

Most likely for my brother, not me.

"Oh hey!" I said sweetly, sliding into a barstool.

"Where have you been?" She asked, sweetly back to me, but also venom in her voice.

"Mom, what has gotten in to you lately?! You used to be so sweet and innocent! Now you're calling me an idiot! What the heck, mom?" I blew up at her, but with a quiet voice, not wanting to wake up my brother.

Her face started getting red, and her eyes started getting wet.

"I-I-I've been acting like that?" She asked, completely acting unaware of her attitude.

"YES!" I said angrily, but calmed down once a single tear rolled down her beautiful face.

"Oh, honey! I am SO sorry I haven't meant to act like that! I've been so busy and stressed because of your brothers death an I just haven't realized I've been acting like that, what has gotten into me!!!?!? Darling, I'm so sorry! I am so, so sorry, baby girl! I didn't mean to take anything out on you!" She gushed, tears freely rolling down her face, and she rushed over and pulled me into a hug.

"It's okay, mom. Sshhhhhh, it's okay.." I soothed, rubbing her back.

The timer suddenly went off, for the cookies, and I let go of her to walk over to the oven, pulling out the delicious chocolate chip goodness.

"My favorite!" I gushed, smelling the cookies.

"Yep, for you and your brother!" My mom said, waving away the steam shooting up out of the dough.

My phone suddenly vibrated.

'From: (insert random number)  

To: Crystal Willow

'Hey babe, I got your phone number ;) xx'

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"Mom, why did you ever let that guy into our house?" I asked.

"Well, I wouldn't just leave a friend of yours outside alone!" She answered, turning to me.

"Well, I am grabbing some cookies and I'll be outside tanning!" I said matter of factly before grabbing 4 cookies and heading towards my room.

I changed into my pink and white polka dotted bikini before pulling my hair into a messy bun and grabbing a towel, and snatching my white sunglasses on the way out.

I walked outside and plopped down into a pool chair right in front of the pool.

Yeah, I have a pool, too.

I sat down right at the edge and slid on my sunglasses and started playing music. I put my phone on the 'shuffle' mode and let it play. Bruno Mars started playing 'Just The Way You Are'. I love Bruno Mars, he's my favorite singer!

I swayed my feet and started humming to the music, but my eyelids got heavy and the last thing I knew, I was in a deep sleep.

---------1 hour later---------

My eyes shot open but closed quickly after I realized I was engulfed in freezing water!

I shot up the water like a spaceship, gasping and coughing for air.

*Cough* "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" I screamed at Tommy, who was standing by the edge of the pool doubled over in laughter.

Guess somebody woke up from a nap!

"Well," He said in between laughs, "you were looking a little hot, so I thought I'd cool you off a bit!"

"WELL DID YOU THINK ABOUT IF I WAS AWAKE OR NOT?"

"Uh, not really!" He said.

"I. Am. Going. To. KILL YOU!" I screamed, climbing out of the water.

He ran into the house yelling for my mom to save him from me.

I sighed in frustration when I realized I couldn't go inside soaking wet. I sat out for the next ten minutes tapping away on my phone to waste time while I was drying off.

"Crystal, dinner!" My mom yelled.

"BE RIGHT THERE!" I yelled back, eyes glued to twitter. Just scrolling through.

"Well, can you set the table outside? We're eating out there!" She called back.

"Sure!"

I walked into the house now dry. I grabbed three plates, tumblers, napkins, and forks.

I waltzed back outside and set the dining table we had on the back porch.

Soon enough, my mom walked out with Tommy behind her.

She was carrying a covered tray, and Tommy was also.

I scowled at Tommy and sent him daggers.

He looked at me with wide eyes.

"Okay, tiiiiime to eat!" My now happy mother excitedly exclaimed.

She uncovered the two trays to reveal macaroni and cheese and grilled chicken.

Tommy had brought out the bowl of watermelon and the pitcher of Kool-Aid.

We ate dinner, discussing our days, and after that we cleaned up and headed to our rooms.

My phone vibrated again, this time as a call, and I saw who it was, but declined it.
