"Piper, meet your maids, Camille, Lily and Emma," Three girls step foreward. Each have identical uniforms on.

"I'm Camille," The tallest on steps forward, she's tan with big brown eyes and brown hair, "This is Lily," Lily is the shortest, she has blonde hair and large blue eyes.

"I'm Emma," The last one says, she has ginger hair. I nod at each of them.
"Follow us to your room," Camille says.

My room is large and spacious. Windows with a belcony on one side with thick scarlet curtains. The bathroom is almost as big as my room. With so many hair products and makeup things. I hardly got any sleep right now and I know it's time to get up when the door opens and I hear Emma's soft voice saying.
"It's time to get up Lady Piper," Groaning I push myself out of bed and into the day.

☆☆☆

I sit at breakfast in a long strapless purple gown that matches my eyes. My hair is curls that tumble down my back in a silky wave and I have the same makeup around my eyes. This time my maids did it. I don't eat a lot of breakfast. Normally I would but I'm not about to stuff myself infront of 34 other girls.

"Ladies!" Sophie says, "Time to meet the prince," All of the girls besides Hermione and I leap up hurriedly to check their makeup and hair, pathetic. I already know I look amazing. Sophie leads us into a giant ballroom and everyone waits nervously, besides Hermione and I, she's my most dangerous competitor because just like me, she's in it for the-

"Piper!" I spin around to see Audrey rushing towards me, followed by Erin.

"Hello Audrey," I say.

"Aren't you excited to meet him, I am I can't wait any-"

"His highness Prince Finn!" Sophie says and everyone immediately bows. Finn walks in, his blonde hair a little messy, his gray-blue eyes flick around the room and land on me. I hold his stare for a few minutes, challenging him to come talk to me. He doesn't, he starts by walking to Audrey and kissing her hand. She giggles and blushes. I turn my back on them and wait.

"Lady Piper, what a pleasure," I whirl around and give him a cold stare, "My, my you don't look happy to see me, darling,"

"Don't play games with me," I spit. His eyes widen in surprise and I realize he was just joking, "I mean, hello your highness,"

Finn stares at me, then bows and walks away. Great! So smart Piper! Now how are you going to get the crown. Finn finishes up with everyone and then I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"I'd like you to stay behind Piper," Finn says. Great just great! He's kicking me out. I just nod. Why be polite if you're just going to be kicked out?

"Everyone can go, except the girls I've asked to stay behind!" Finn raises his voice. More then half of the girls fill out. Eight are left including myself.
"I'm sorry to say but I didn't feel like you'd be good queens," One girl, Rose I think her name it, starts to bawl her eyes out. What an idiot, idiots, all of them! I swear-

"Besides you Piper," I'd like to talk to you in private. Wait what? All the girls file out and now it's just me and him, "Did I do something wrong?" He asks.

"Having this stupid selection," Then I cover my mouth guiltyly.

"If you didn't like this then why did you come here?" He raises his eyesbrows.

"Long story," I sigh.

"I'd love to hear it,"

"My sister got her hands on a form and signed me up thinking I'd find true love and become a princess," I lie.

"Oh," He says, "I can send you home, if you like," He adds quickly.

"I- no I want to stay," I answer.

"Good because- I mean..." He trails off blushing. I made the prince blush, that paints a smirk on my face. I brush my hair off my shoulder and walk into the breakfast room leaving him there, lost for words.
