Melanie

I couldn't believe it as I stood in between Brooke and Natalie, looking down the list of girl's who made the cheer team.

"I don't believe this!" I exclaimed. "I did so horrible and they still picked me?"

I looked at Brooke than at Nat who looked suspicious as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked around the courtyard, oblivious to what I just said.

"Did you do this for me, Nat?" I asked.

She smiled and nodded. "Hey," She replied."Jenna and Becky said you have potential."

"But I suck!" I exclaimed.

"But with alittle help from the captain, A.K.A, Natalie Borowski, you'll be a pro cheerleader in no time." She replied with a huge smile on her face as she held out her arms and Brooke and I fell in for a bear hug.

I was surprised to see Brody Parker at lunch today. He was an outsider and didn't belong in the cafeteria full of happy-go-lucky people. I watched as he ate his lunch at the table, alone. His friend's were probably too high to go to class let alone eat in the cafeteria.

"Why are you staring at emo boy?" Natalie asked as she furrowed her eyebrows at me.

Brooke gasped and covered her mouth with her pink manicured hands. "You like him!" She exclaimed as she and Natalie started giggling like twelve year old girl's giggling over male popstars.

"I don't like Brody Parker!" I exclaimed with a disgusted look on my face.

I glanced over at Brody as he turned his head to face me; I quickly turned my head around.

I walked into Ms. Davis's class right after lunch and walked down the aisle to my seat next to Brody. I set my handbag on the desk as and looked at him. He was finishing up his math homework than he slowly turned his head to his side.

"Can I help you?" He asked as if I was annoying him...eventhough I think I was annoying him.

I shut my eyes than opened them back up. "You...were sitting alone today at lunch." I said, pointing out the obvious.

"Uh...yeah?" He replied. "So?"

"So," I said as I looked around the class. "Why weren't you with your buddies?"

"Why is it any of your business?" He snapped as he turned back to his home work and started filling in answer's.

"Settle down class!" Ms. Davis shouted as she walked inside the classroom. I frowned angrily at Brody and slowly turned around in my seat to face Ms. Davis.

We took a pop quiz, Brody was the first one done surprisingly.

Brody

After school my friend's and I sat on the bleacher's watching the cheerleader's shake their little pom-poms. I leaned back on the bleacher's and squinted my eyes at a familiar face.

"Is that Melanie Sinclaire?" I asked Brian.

He nodded. "Yup."

I laughed out loud as Melanie missed a few steps in the cheer routine. She glanced up at me and faked a smile as she flipped me off.

"Whoa, man!" Brian exclaimed as he bumped his shoulder into mine. "She just flipped you off!"

"Shut-up." I replied quietly. I watched the girl's practice some more than grabbed my backpack as I walked down the bleacher's.

I sat in the hallway reading Macbeth by Shakespeare. I heard voices and the cheer girl's turned the corner to the gym. Sinclaire glanced over at me and whispered something to her friend's than walked over to where I was sitting. I looked up at her as she stood in front of me with her black and yellow pom-poms in her hands.

"What?" I asked, annoyed by her presence.

"You're such a perv." She replied with her hands on her hips.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I closed my book and stood up as I slung my backpack over my shoulder.

"I saw you checking me out." She replied, faking a smile.

I faked a hysterical laugh as I layed my hand on my stomach and bent back. "You're too funny, Sinclaire." I said as I wiped away an invisible tear.

She cocked her head to the side and pursed her rose colored lips that reminded me of Spencer's.

"You better watch it." She replied angrily.

I stepped closer to her and leaned into her ear. I could tell she was alittle bit taken back by how close I was to her. I could literally hear her heart pounding against her chest and her heavy breathing as my lips barely grazed her ear. "Trust me, Sinclaire," I whispered seductively. "I'll be watching every...single...part of you."

I grinned as I bumped into her shoulder and walked towards the school doors.
