Eyes open. The cold air eats my lungs and stings at my eyes. I'm burning...but it's cold. As I take in my surroundings I hear the voices. They're not familiar. Their new. They even sound new, like many of them are in their prime. Then that's when I hear it
"She's been asleep for 70 years. We'll have to assure her at least a little?" I heard one guy say.
"We'll wipe her. There will be no consoling our new weapon." The other says.
Then everything went dark. And my mind was replaced with complex thoughts of killing. These new thoughts became my world. My NEW world. My only mission in life was to kill those I was asked to.
And then...they woke me up..."Good morning Agent. How are you feeling?" Says some weird man.
"Never better, Sir." I said calmly.
"Then your mission starts tomorrow. We'll get your comfortable with this facility. And by the way, you my call me Alexander Pierce."
And with that the man walked out. I sat up and took in my surroundings, this time getting a good view of everything. I breathed in a much needed breath and collect my "thoughts".
"I work for HYDRA. I'm their Agent. And I will kill whoever they ask me to. But there's something missing, that doesn't matter now."
This place is home now. No matter what was before this, this is home now.
I walk out of the medical center I'm in and walk around the base. People stare. It doesn't matter, obviously they wouldn't stare if they knew me. So I brush it off. Until I walk past a mirror. That's when I see it. The metal where an arm is supposed to be. Then I get this flashback.
Falling. Snow. And blood.
That's all I see. Probably some accident HYDRA saved me from after. It's not alarming. I continue to walk as I come to a hall marked "Rooms for Agents A-M", I follow the hall and see Agent Barnes signed onto a door, I remember. My last name is Barnes, so this is my room. I walk in and sit on the bed. It's a small room. Maybe a little larger than the average bedroom, but still small. I run a metal finger down the cracking cement wall and listen to the metal drag along and rough surface. I hear a small drip in the corner, maybe a leak from somewhere. Then I see a room attached to this one. The bathroom, convenient. I get a feel of the room again. It's cold, not chilly cold, but a dark and alluring coldness. I'll get used to it. From the very little I remember I've definitely gotten used to worse.
So this is my life. Hail HYDRA.
