The Interminable Graveyard

By this time, they were all doused and no place was there for them to take shelter in. There was no trees in a graveyard, and no roof blocking the rain.
"Aaah! I hate getting wet!" Sam complained.
"Well, get used to it." Roy said. "We're gonna be out here for a while. There aren't any shelters for us here, and I can't seem to find us a way out. This graveyard seems to stretch out quite far." He continued, disappointing them all, while groping for an exit with his eyes.
"It's best if we stick together, but it would make our chances of getting out of here easier if we split up in the four directions." Sam declared.
"Well then, let's do both." Michael suggested. "Jo and I will go north, while you Sam and Roy go south."
"How about east and west?"
"If we can't find a way out," he said while pointing to a gravestone with the name Tom Ralf Edward. "We'll meet back here. This grave stone has the same name as my grandfather."
"Thats a good idea, but it'll be really difficult for us to find this specific stone. Especially since the clouds are blocking the moonlight." Sam mentioned. But Michael wasn't listening at all. He hadn't heard a single word Sam had said. Instead, he was gathering sticks.
"What are we gonna do with those?" Roy asked, concerned.
"It'll be difficult for us the find this specific stone. Especially since the storm clouds are blocking the moonlight."
"That's exactly what I just said." Sam murmured, interrupting.
"Anyways, we'll use these sticks to draw our way, so we can follow it back."
"But the rain'll wash our trail away. We'll just end up getting lost." Sam said.
Then Roy said, "Then maybe we should just go forward, and make no turns. That way, we won't get lost. And to find our way back to this exact place," he said as he started digging a hole in the ground. "We'll know we're at the right place because of this hole. And to be sure, we check the gravestone. It must say Tom Ralf Edward. And as Michael said, he and Jo will go north, while Sam and I go south. And if we can't find a way out, we'll meet back at the hole, or the gravestone which has the same name as Michael's grandfather. Agreed?"
"Great plan Roy. And half of it was Michael's. You guys sure make a great team. Maybe you two should partner up."
"No time. I wanna get out of here by sunrise. Then maybe we can ask the inhabitants of this place for a map. Sam, you could get us out of here." Michael said, determinedly.
Alright, let's go, Jo." he said as he threw the sticks behind him as a tool which was no longer useful.
"Hey, Michael. We might need these." Sam yelled out form behind.
"Neigh." He answered carelessly. But she  took them just incase.
The four siblings, well at least they were adopted siblings, walked their directions, with none of them speaking to each other. Jo and Roy were 10, and were adopted at the same time, when they were turning 3. So they were really close to each other than the rest of the gang. Sam was 9 and was adopted at age 5. And Michael was adopted 1 year later. The next year, Jo brought up The War Soldiers, the gang they were today. Michael, at first didn't attend to their meetings, and was usually absent during their battles. But then he started to fit in and was actually the best soldier along with Jo. Roy tried his best in all battles, and Sam was actually not bad at fighting. But her strong points were her strategies she came up with Roy. With their ingenious ways to win, and Michael and Jo's fighting spirits, they were able to come to the top of the list. 2nd place. The Crabs, their main rival, was 1st. But it made since that they won all their battles. They were much older and stronger than they were. But Jo always had the energy to attempt defeating them, although every trial failed. After the Crabs defeated the War Soldiers, they would do all sorts of things to them, including beating them up further. But this time, they had war, not battle. They had gotten too far. The Crabs were thinking too highly of themselves.
About an hour later, Michael and Jo retuned, unsuccessfully, to find that Sam and Roy had also returned about a couple minutes before they did.
"Oh, great!" Sam complained.
"Don't give up, let's go the other two directions. The exit has to be around here somewhere. Don't worry, we'll get out of here before you know it." Michael reassured.
For the first time in all this time, Jo spoke up.
"We didn't come back here without any good news."
"Yup. We found a dead end."
"A gate."
"Which means that if we follow it, we'll find the exit or entrance door."
"We returned to tell you two."
Roy's face lit up with hope, and started running north, where Michael and Jo came from.
"Wait up, Roy!" Sam cried as she ran into the tunnel of hope, along with Michael and Jo, who's faces were also filled with hope.
One they reached the gate, Jo suggested to climb it. But no matter how much that tried, they couldn't get passed it. It was way too high, higher than usual gates. It wasn't a net, so it wasn't easy.
"Jo, how about if we give Roy a lift. He's the lightest in weigh, so it will be easier."
"Ok." She let out both her hands for one of Roy's foot to go on, and Michael did the same. They tossed him into the air, and they tried it over and over again.
"Ugh! This won't work!" Sam complained.
"You aren't the one who's been tossing Roy into the air 5 billion times. So stop complaining! He's heavier than he looks, you know."
"Fine." She said stubbornly.
"The farthest we've gotten you, Roy, is about 3 quarters of how long this gate is." Jo said.
"Hey. Let's not wast any more time. We'll have to go the long way. We'll have to follow the gate." Michael suggested.
"Aaah, man! Do we have to?"
Two Hours Later...
"Aaah! Come on! This wall is interminable!" Sam complained again. "I'd rather be fighting the Crabs then this. At least battle is interesting."
"Hey! Don't bring that up, Sam. For now, let's focus on getting out. When will you stop complaining? You've been asking that same question ever since we found this wall." Roy said.
The battles these gangs have are fights with rules. Sometimes, the rules state no weapons allowed and sometimes their are specific weapons that are allowed to use. Sometimes they make deals like they can take members of the opposite gangs prisoners. Then that gang makes prisoner of that person. Often, they make them do or say something before releasing them. But some gangs don't release prisoners, so when the other gang comes to rescue the member, a battle starts and the opposing side has a disadvantage. This usually takes the winning gang up higher in the leaderboard. One rule, however, always states that if a member of one side, injures a person, or goes beyond that point, that gang automatically loses. This is why only specific weapons are allowed.
The leaderboard is made so, that the gang with the highest amount of wins, are the 1st in place, no matter the amount of loss. So if a group loses, it doesn't affect them, but the team they lost to, will end up higher in the leaderboard. The leaderboard is an app which was designed by a member of one of the gangs. So everyone has access to it on their mobile devises.
Since the gangs have battles and wars, they have rivals, enemies, and allies. Becoming allies are signed by treaties. The gangs also have names, such as The War Soldiers and The Crabs. Which are 2nd and 1st places on the leaderboard. The Crabs are a gang of 5 with no allies, and only one rival, The War Soldiers. Every gang is made up of at least 3 and at most 5 members. So if there is one ore two extra people, they would have to sit out on that battle. Every gang also has meetings, usually before or after a battle, to discuss their strategies and plans for the upcoming or future battles.

Another hour passed and Sam was still crying, as usual. But the others had also started wondering how big this place was. It never seemed to end. Then, Jo yelled out that they were almost there. She had seen something, and it might have been the exit.
