"Just wait someday you will find someone perfect for you," Sarah, my best friends said, but I wasn't really listening to her since for the most part she was talking about her boyfriend that she has been dating for the past three years. I didn't notice she was still talking until she snapped at me, "Are you even listening to me?"
"What? Uh, Yeah," I said pushing my glasses up the bridge of my nose and held my books closer to my chest. It was one of my favorite books series, Divergent. Right now I was rereading the first book of the series. I was also carrying my school textbooks.
"Then what did I say?" She asked raising one eyebrow. My cheeks immediately flushed red not knowing what she said.
She was about to start talking when someone cut her off. "Guess who?" he asked. I looked up seeing Jarred, Sarah's boyfriend.
"Um, let me see, Taylor Lautner?" She asked with a small smirk on her face. His smile faded slightly. Sarah could tell without looking and gave him all of her attention, kissing his lips lightly. I took this as a cue to leave and I headed straight to my locker. I put in my combination and opened to door.
Ryan's p.o.v.
I watched as she opened her locker from the other side of the hall. Her eyes widened as she seen exactly what was inside. She looked around the hall making sure no one was looking at her. Her small hands reached inside and held the note in her hand. A small smile tugged on her face causing me to grin. She reached into her locker and pulled out the flower. It was a pink and white amaryllis. I heard her talking to her friend about flowers and this one was the kind she said was her favorite. She smelled the flower and her smile didn't fade one bit. She looked around once again before running off.
I walked away and went to my first class. My smile wiped off of my face when I realized that it was calculus. I groaned and went inside.
Jamie's P.O.V.
"I like your smile, but I would love it if I was the reason for that smile to be on your lips," Sarah read off of the little piece of paper, "Love, R." I continued to smile looking down at my amaryllis flower that is sitting in a water bottle. "Oh my gosh! Jamie! You have a secret admirer!" She squealed holding the paper in her hands as she jumped up and down.
We were currently walking down the hallway away from our history class and going to lunch. She wasn't in my first three classes, but was in my fourth, so I showed her the note after class. The more I had the note the more I felt like it was just a prank. Honestly, who would like the four-eyed school geek.
I mean, I'm not ugly, but I am not someone people have crushes on. I was the geek. A straight A student who always had her face stuck in a book. No one ever noticed me, so why would they start now?
"Let's not make a big deal about it," I mumbled glancing down at my flower. How did they know I loved amaryllis? "It's probably just someone messing with me. I'm not going to make a big deal about it."
"But what if it's not?" She asked. "What if this guy is just waiting for you to find out who he is! You already know his name starts with an R! What if he's some really hot guy!"
I rolled my eyes. As if. "Lets just drop it for now." I glanced down at my flower. At least I got a beautiful flower out of a prank.
