"It's mine. I saw it first" Armando childishly said
"Pft. Liar. It was because I gasped that you caught sight if my diamond" Merritt said while putting her hands in her hips. Slightly more mature than him. "And besides, I got you out of the mess with the security camera before"
"Yeah, Yet I found this place first." He stops and then says "And the diamond too, anyways"
"I planed to steal this jewellery way before" She states, knowing that this is useless. But wanting to have a moment of fun, a moment when she can feel what is being with a friend. Not that she considers him one.
"And yet you didn't knew there was a pure diamond the size of your hand here. Did you?" He argues, not feeling like letting the Miss I-get-everything-I-want, win this time. Not today, Merritt. "I'd say we split it but that isn't helpful in this case"
"Planing to steal a store doesn't mean knowing where every precious stone is located, dimwit"
"I know!" He smiled, as if he had been illuminated "We could run away from this city and exchange the diamond for a good $100 000 dollars. We'll take my Nissan or go by meter. Anything you'd like. Is your choice...and then we can look for a apartment in some farewell city..." He stopped himself after the weird look Merritt gave him "Only until we divide the prize, of course"
"Ugh. I don't know...spending even more time with you..." She knew that was a lie. It was a hell good of a plan she wasn't planning on recognise that. Who would think Armando Cervantes actually had a brain?
"Come on, you got to admit this is an excellent plan. I'm the best, ain't I?" He arrogantly smirked, waiting for an answer they both knew she would give.
"Umm...I wouldn't say an excellent plan but yes. We'll go on separate routes to New York where it will be more difficult to find us"
"Am I the best or what?" She smacked him in the arm while he smirked. If he said what he was thinking she would deny it. But he had just stole a smile from her rosy lips. He watched her as she carefully took in hands the stone. They put a scarf around it to stop it from breaking or damaging. And then they stuffed it on the bottom of Armando's bag
"In thirteen minutes we leave, get everything you can without making noise" She started doing it herself "Oh, and I'm taking the longer route to New York so I'll see you in the first train station. The big green with black one"
"Okay, but...We are going together"
