Chapter 3- "We need to talk"

Daniel's POV

I wake up to a loud crash in the bedroom, I spring up in bed and look over to see Joey there holding one of what used to be a pile of boxes. He gives me a innocent smile and I begin to laugh, he such a dork but he's my dork. Although we had moved into he house a while ago, we had yet to unpack all the boxes it seemed Joey had finally decided to do just that.

I slide out from the warm bed and throw a pair of sweatpants on and walk over to help Joey who had begun to pick up the boxes he had dropped. I grab one of the boxes and move it over the the side of the room.  Joey continues to place the other two boxes on top of the other one, planning to unpack them later.

I begin to head toward the door when Joey stops me
"Where are you going?" He whines.

"I'm gonna go make some breakfast, I'm hungry. I can make you something if you want?" I reply laughing at his complaints.

"Okay, I'm fine, but after I need to talk to you about something kinda important, if that's alright," his voice had become hesitant, making me nervous.

"Uhh-yeah sure, I'll try to be quick..." I trail off my sentence not really sure how to respond to what he was telling me.

I'm standing over a skillet making eggs when I feel two strong arms grab around my waist, making me slightly jump and the sudden surprise. I feel Joey nuzzle his chin into my neck as he leans against me, and I think to myself
This is what everyday needs to be like, and I want everyone to be able to see this, not just us.
Then thought is pushed from my mind when Joey says
"I could wait any longer to talk to you about this, I need to do it now, I can't wait."

He peels his arms from around my abdomen and goes and sits down at the table, I finish cooking my eggs and sit down to across from him. I notice he is fidgeting with his hands, something he only does when he is nervous,

what is he nervous about? Is it what he's about to tell me?

The possible causes of Joey's nervousness are ripped from my mind as he begins to speak

"So about the music video..."
