Daniel's POV:
"What if they hate me Daniel? What if they don't accept me? What will I do?" I hear Joey begin to question as he is now in a full on panic,
"JOEY! It will be fine, I promise, just upload it," I say as I push him toward the computer, I can't help but do so, he has no choice it's either let his all fans down for not uploading a music video he's been taking about for a while now and come out anyway in his book or upload and possible lose support of some close minded, homophobic people, whom once called themselves his fans.He now is slowly beginning to work on the computer typing each word slower than the previous as if he never wants the video to be uploaded.
"Joey, we have things to do today, come on, I promise it will be fine!" I say hoping to speed up the process a little bit but he doesn't flinch, it's as if he's blocked me out. Joey finally finished typing after what feels like an hour and I watch him select a thumbnail, I smile to myself as I see himself select one where him and I are face to face, our foreheads almost touching. His shaky hand guides the mouse over to the top corner over the screen where it hovers over the UPLOAD button for a few second before I hear the click of his mouse.Within seconds of hitting upload Joey flings himself, crying, into me. I can't make much out of his sobs but I do manage to pick up the words "hated, rejected, attacked" I feel my heart break with each one, knowing that he feels so vulnerable right now.
After sitting and rubbing Joey's head and back for a while he calms down, still crying but in a less hysterical matter. I removed my hand from his head and move it over to the mouse and up to the top of the web page to refresh the page. At the sound of the click Joeys head snaps up to look at the screen rather than being buried in my chest. He burrows his head back into me when I begin to scroll down toward the comments. I take a deep breath and press the button to view the comments that have been left so far. I begin to read so aloud to Joey, in hopes that it will completely calm him down,
(These are real comments to the Don't Wait music video just saying)
"Joey, you need to just express yourself don't care about the haters they're just jealous," I ready the first one I see, "I wanted to cry at the end... I'm glad you made the decision to express yourself :D," I continue, "yes! Joey don't be afraid to show your true colors, you are such an inspiration."By this time Joey is now out of my lap, sitting in his own chair looking at the responses with me. I see a smile begin to creep across his face along with a few tears that roll down his cheeks.
I reach up to wipe them away as Joey says "don't worry, their now happy tears this time, and I guess you were right,"
"Aren't I always Joseph?" I ask sarcastically
"No, definitely not," he replies with a little laugh.
"Alright fine, but come on we have to finish setting up for you and Cat's birthday party," I say as I pull him from his chair and toward the door to the hall. Joey was reluctant to follow but I managed to drag him for the second time that morning, around the house.
A/N: been having writers block a bit, but I'm planning to do these next chapters based off what actually happen in Joey's life, such as the book tour, comic con, and so on. Thanks to everyone who has VOTED or READ the book I love you!!
