I woke up in an almost completely dark room where one beacon of light shone through a crack in the curtains. There were two strong arms wrapped around my waist when I realized where I was and who I was with. I jumped up suddenly, alarmed and not knowing what had happened.
"Whoa babe what's wrong??" Ben asked.
"Who gave you permission to take advantage of me like that I can't be-" I started but he interrupted me.
"Mandy, Mandy calm down. Nothing happened between us like that I swear! You were drunk and I wasn't going to let you sleep on the floor so I put you to bed with me. Sorry if I startled you at all, just wanted to make sure you were sorted.
"Oh..." I felt stupid for going off on him. "Well in that case do you mind if I lay with you for a bit longer?" I asked
Ben laughed and said "Course love, c'mere." he said in a raspy tired tone as I climbed back in bed and laid my head on his bare chest.
He wrapped one arm around me and used the other hand to comb through my long brown hair which had fallen straight from the night before. I soon dozed off again, feeling safe.Later when the room was filled with light and I finally woke up I was not as content. I found a note next to me that read.
"Hey love, had to run as we've got a gig in Southhampton later. I had a class time with you last night, call me when you read this.
x Ben Cx"
I shivered at his sincerity but wanted to wait until I gathered my composure to ring him up. I walked into the kitchen where Kat sat on the sofa sipping a cuppa watching the tele.
"Looks like the queen has risen! Bout time!" she giggled.
"What time even is it??" I yawned in response.
"Half noon sleepyhead. The lads left a little bit ago, you end up crashing with Ben?"
"Yah, I guess. I don't remember much at all from last night but he left me a note saying to call him when I got up."
"OOOOOOOOH Benny's got a girlfriendddd!" she teased.
"Oh hush!" I said embarrassed "I've only met him once and I was drunk half the time!"
"Oh pish posh, you're glowing" Kat joked.
I went back into the other room to call Ben. After 2 rings he picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ben, about last nig-" he cut me off
"I know we smashed it you're our biggest fan sorry we didn't get a photo want me to sign anything?" he responded cockily.
"Oh hush! I was actually just calling to tell you I thought it was horrible, worse then a shitty high school band from back home"
"You couldn't lie to me if you tried." Ben responded "So we're on the end of the tour circuit right now and I'd love to see you again. We've got a big show in London next week. Fancy coming down with Kat?"
"Yah... um I'd love that, I'll talk to her about it in a bit." I said hesitantly. I had just met this guy, was I falling too soon?
"Alright babe well I've got to go, I'll give you a ring in a bit, cheers" he said and hung up.
I really liked him, he was so sweet and his intentions were good. I couldn't believe at first that he didn't try to take advantage of me when I was pissed drunk but the honesty in his eyes and tone of his voice convinced me he was telling the truth. I loved the way his arm muscles contracted every time he hit a drum, and I loved the way they felt over my body as I drifted off. It all might be coming too soon, but I love the way he makes me feel and I don't want to pass this up.
