clique klēk,klik/noun- a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them.

So in every school setting there will be cliques. Those girls in the corner of the cafeteria, who won't let anyone sit with them. The same girls who you approached that morning, and stared you down, till you ran away. I know what you're thinking, this is the lesson every girl should know if they ever want to have a social life. Never approach, be approached. That was  first, and last time I ever made that mistake. My name is Sarah Eve View, and this is my story.

So if you have ever been to a school, you'll know the worst thing you can be is a girl. We can be the worst kind of bullies. We're mean and nasty, but not in the way boys are. They will fight it out, punch a few noses, give a few well places fists to the gut, and that'll be it. They could even be best friends at the end. Girls are a lot more complicated.  We can get offended at the smallest thing, and be upset for months. Of course we don't believe in the momentary hurt. We like to make it last. We can simmer for months, putting on a pretty face, but when we let it out, it can destroy things .

I've always wondered why we can't be like the opposite gender. Why can't we just fight it out in the moment, and be down. It would make Middle School a whole lot easier. No more plots to destroy someone's social status or how to humiliate someone in front of the entire school. It would be so nice if we could just stop being so dramatic, and focus on real things.

The biggest problem that anyone faces in Middle school is the friend problem. All we're ever worried about is who is going to be my friend or how this person will improve our social status. Some girls get it right the first time, and spend the year will loyal committed and caring friends. Others, think they get it right, but instead, spend the year as popular, powerful mean girl, fearing all the time that their new position will be stolen.

So, I am going to help you, if you'll help me. I'm going to share my entire Middle School experience with you, and you'll try and get it right. Find the best friend you've always been dreaming of, and don't get yourself tangles up with the wrong sort. In this guid book I'll introduce you to the ordinary Middle school stereotypes you're used to finding, an a few that might give you a whole new perspective.
