Troye:
I spun around in one of the stools in Zoe's kitchen, staring off into space, as Connor stood behind me, filling his mouth with lucky charms that sat in a jar on the counter.
I heard Zoe enter the room behind me, breaking the comfortable silence.
"Do you guys just want to watch some films and go to sleep? It's getting late..." she said, looking past me at Connor. I tore my eyes from a random basket in the corner of the room and turned to join the conversation.
"Yeah, that sounds good to me." I said, dragging myself off of the chair and heading towards the living room. Connor followed close behind me, his hand brushing against my side. I immediately became more alert and caught his fingers, squeezing them quickly. The corners of his mouth turned up into a small smile as he passed me to sit down on the couch. I helped Zoe choose a movie, which ended up being something terrifying that I had never heard of, but she said it was good so, whatever. Tyler entered the room as I laid down opposite Connor.
"Where should I sit?" he asked and I realized the two of us were taking up two thirds of the couch. I slid over next to Connor on the big sectional, making room for Tyler. We sat with our legs stretched out, facing the tv.
When Zoe turned off the lights and the movie started, I suddenly became very aware of how close I was to Connor. We were squished together so I wouldn't slip off of the couch. He slid onto his back, just about laying down and I followed suit, turning on my side to watch the movie.
I watched intently as the girl on the screen tried to find the murderer, wincing every time she turned the corner. The music got louder as she crept into the building and saw that the walls were covered in blood. I covered my face with my hands, peering through my fingers. It got quiet all of a sudden and I felt Connor tense beside me as a door creaked, sending chills through my spine. I froze and watched wide eyed until a bloodcurdling scream filled my ears. I echoed it and Connor practically jumped out of his skin, pushing both of us onto the floor. I curled into a ball underneath Connor and the blanket that had been on top of us, covering my ears. In the distance I heard a cackling laugh and looked out from under Connor, feeling him do the same.
Tyler was rolling around on the floor laughing hysterically, unable to catch his breath. My mouth dropped open as realization struck me.
"YOU!!!!" I exclaimed, infuriated.
Connor climbed off of me and tackled Tyler, pinning him to the floor.
"Boys!" Zoe cried, laughing through her words.
I joined the fight, attempting to wrestle Tyler who was twice my size.
I felt arms pull me from the pile and I looked up to see Zoe holding back a smile as she looked down at me disapprovingly. Tyler shoved Connor off of him who landed on top of me, knocking the air from lungs.
"Sorry!" he said, before using his arms to push his torso off of me. He gazed down at me and I looked into his eyes, his face softening. I panted, still trying to catch my breath, and smiled up at him. He grinned and shook his head, seeming to remember where we were and slid off of me.
"I've had my fun, I'm out," Tyler said, crawling on his hands and knees to his bedroom, where Korey was already sleeping. We watched him go and burst out laughing, getting back onto the couch.
"Can we maybe... watch something else?" Connor asked sheepishly, blushing.
Zoe laughed and nodded, "Good idea, how about a comedy?"
"Sure, you can pick it out. I don't know about Troye, but I'll be asleep in minutes." He said, glancing over at me.
"Yeah, it's late." I said, getting back under the blanket.
