Carly stepped out of her car and let out a shaky breath. She could hear laughter and chatting from all the students around her. As she pulled her bag from her car, she could feel a pair of eyes on her back. Spinning around, ready to tell whoever it was to "Fuck off", she came face to face with Todd. Todd Schwartz was one of her better friends. He was tall with dark hair, grey eyes, pale skin and a goofy lopsided grin.

"Hey gorgeous, how was your summer!?" He exclaimed, rather loudly.

"It was great, I didn't see you. It was perfect." Carly replied with no enthusiasm what-so-ever, "anyways where is your better half Todd?"

Todd didn't seem the littlest upset with Carly's reply. Instead he just laughed and flung his arm around her shoulder, leading her towards the school.

"He's coming, he just wanted to see if Violet was here yet."

"Violet? Since when did he care about Violet?" Carly asked, seeming rather confused.

"Since she called him halfway through the summer asking to hangout, but as you know we were in Europe backpacking, so he didn't get the message until three days ago." He replied, again laughing.

Todd and his brother Ryan were identical twins, only two minutes apart. Todd was older and always referred to Ryan as his "younger brother". The only significant difference between them was that Todd was always wearing hats over his medium length hair and Ryan kept his hair short. Other then that they were almost impossible to tell apart, seeing as they had the same choice of style.

"Oh there is the love bird now!" Todd exclaimed, as he began to tweet like a bird, only causing him to laugh some more.

Carly rolled her eyes. She met the twins in freshman year, Todd was extremely into her but he got over it when he realized that they were not meant to be. Carly wasn't interested in dating back then and even now she wouldn't date Todd. He was extremely immature, and there were too many popular girls begging at his doorstep to go out. Carly was always getting glares and rude remarks because of her relationship with the boys, but no girl ever dared get directly on her bad side due to the fact that she would be more then willing then to tell the boys which girls were no good, and they always listened to Carly's opinion.

She watched, with an amused grin, as Ryan trudged over to them looking slightly flushed. He was wearing a plain black t-shirt, that fit perfect to his toned body. He also had on a pair of dark wash jeans and had his green pack slung lazily over his right shoulder. His dark hair was freshly cut and his grey eyes shined with excitement.

"She wasn't very happy that I ignored her this summer but once I explained she was fine. We have a date Friday." Ryan exclaimed.

"Too bad. The poor girl has no idea what she's gotten herself into." Carly responded, sparking a fit of giggles from Todd.

"You're just mad because other then us, Netflix is your only friend." Ryan shot back.

Not taking his lame insult to heart. Carly shrugged and gave him a silly look that consisted of sticking out her tongue and crossing her eyes.

The boys giggled together, as Todd slung his arm back over her shoulder as the three strolled into the school.

Carly hated English, and to make things worse, she hated her teacher. His name was Mr. Rosenbaum, and he was the most boring teacher in the whole school. Everyone called him Mr. Rosie Bum. No one is quite sure how the nickname sparked but Todd always laughed when he heard it. Mr. Rosenbaum liked reading short stories and making the class find meanings to every sentence. He also had this almost fetish like obsession with Shakespeare, which always made Carly cringe.
