Chapter 1: Attractive Stranger.
Nicole’s POV:
‘BEEP BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP,’ the annoying sound of my alarm clock went off, I groaned and smacked the button to turn it off. It was 5:30 in the morning, why did I have to wake up with early you say, well lets gust say my boss is a total asshole and makes me start work at 7:00. So my daily routine is: go for a run, get back and have a shower, get dressed then eat breakfast, pretty boring yeah I know.
I got up and walked over to my closet and picked out a black tank top and my black skins, I walked down the stairs, I got to the bottom and saw Hades my cute little German Shepard puppy sitting beside the last step wagging his tail, I swear he is the smartest dog.
“Ready to go baby” I walked over to the drawers near my door and grab his lead, of course Hades is already at my leg, I clip his lead on his collar and we walked out the door.
We had been running for about 15 minutes when we came to my favorite part of my whole track, we were standing on a bridge above a river, the sun came up through the trees and it was absolutely breath taking, I sat on the edge of the bridge for a moment, I looked at my watch and realized that I had to leave. So in a hurry I stood up and ran off obviously not looking where I was going I bashed into something really hard, then realizing that it was a person.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going and uh again I’m sorry”
I looked up and my breath caught in my chest there stood the most beautiful man I had ever seen in my life, he had dark hazel hair and the deepest blue eyes I had ever seen, they looked like the deepest part of the ocean, it holds so many secret that man has yet to discover.
“Um, no I’m the one that should be apologizing Miss, I was clearly not looking where I was going” the amazing attractive guy said.
“Uh ok well lets just agree to disagree, I’m Nicole but just call me Nicki” I smiled and extended my hand. The attractive guy smiled showing his gorgeous straight perfect teeth; even his teeth were attractive for gods sake!
“I’m Daniel, but just call me Danny” he grabbed me hand but instead of shaking it he put it up to his lips and kissed it, I instantly felt my cheeks go red.
“Well Nicki I would love to take you out for a sorry coffee sometime” Danny smiled, again perfectly.
“Sorry coffee” I questioned.
“To say sorry I ran into you”
“Oh ok, well sure id like that” My phone vibrated and I took it out and realized it was 6:47.
“Oh my god I have to go sorry, um maybe if I see you again ill give you my number sorry”
“Haha it’s alright ill find it, good bye Nicki” and Danny ran off.
I finally got home at 6:55 and cursed myself since I was going to be late for work, curse stupid hot, attractive, perfect, god like man.
I finally got to work at 7:05, I opened the door to the Sweet ‘N’ Sour diner, yep I worked at a diner. I walked around to the staff room waiting for the yelling to begin. I put my bag in my locker when I heard a cough. I turned around was faced with my boss, Carl.
“You are late” Carl said looking up at me, I’m 5’5 and he’s 5’1.
“Yeah I’m sorry about that I-“
“Save it I don’t want to hear anymore excuses this is your last warning, if you’re late again then you will be fired” he then turned and walked away. I stood there with my mouth wide open! This was the first time I was ever late to work. Asshole.
It was my lunch break when I went back to my bag and got my phone out, I saw 4 new messages.
1 from Rosie
1 from A
1 from Dais
1 from unknown number
Rosie: heeyy babe girls night tonight haven’t seen u in 4ever! My place 8:00 bring anything u want. Oh and bring Hades!
That was from one of my best friends Rosie who was obsessed with Hades.
Dais: hey guurrlll u comin to Rosies tonight?? Need to c u!
That was another one of my best friends Daisy.
A: hey Nicks u better b comin 2 Rosies or imma drag u there by the earlobe got it! Kk c u there :P
And that lovely message was from my other best friend Acacia.
Unknown Number: Hey Beautiful, its Danny remember me from this morning… well just wondering what your doing this weekend still need to take you out for that sorry coffee ;)
Yeah as you can tell I haven’t really seen my friends in a while, I’ve really keep to myself since I broke up with my ex, Scott but that’s a different story.
I replied to all of my friends say yes I would come then replied to Danny saying yes I was free on Sunday.
Work passed slowly but eventually it was 6:00, which was when I got to leave. I got in my car and drove home, I hopped in the shower then got dressed and made sure I grabbed as many chick flicks and chocolate that I could. I grab Hades as well and we got in the car and left for Rosie’s house.
I entered Rosie’s driveway and parked the car getting all my movies and food, and dog and entered the house.
“OH MY GODD NICKI”
“NIIIIICCKKIIII”
“WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN BITCH!”
And that was the welcome I received from my 3 best friends: Rosie, Acacia and Daisy. I looked at all my friends and smiled. Rose Her full name was Rose Emily Williams, but we call her Rosie she had Brown hair with little blonde bits at the bottom, she had brown eyes and the best smile, she was always caring and never said a bad thing about anyone. She was currently studying to become a makeup artist which all of us girls were excited for her.
Next was Acacia, her full name Acacia Savannah Ramsey, this girl was the life of the party, she had dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes, she was a crazy one always jumping everywhere and pushing us to do things that would usually end up having something to do with the police, but we loved her anyways. She was currently studying to become a Interior Designer.
Last but not least was Daisy, her full name Daisy Olivia Watkins, Dais had almost white blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, she was the joker, always making everyone laugh, being completely random at very inappropriate times and making everyone smile when we needed it, she was currently studying to become a Architect. And me well they all called me chief, I ran things and got people organized and set everything up and usually got a little bossy but they would all call me up for it and never got mad.
“Hey guys” I smiled giving hugs to all my friends.
“Oh my god she bought The Notebook!” Rosie squealed.
We all huddled down on the couch with all of the food in front of us and readied the tissues.

We were half way through the movie when Rosie suddenly got a call. She hopped up and walked out of the room. 5 minutes later she came back in with blood shot eyes and tear marks running down her face. Everyone got and quickly ran to her.
“Rose what’s wrong?” I asked.
“J-Jason is being deployed again.”
