Kurt's POV:

I woke up the next day around 2 in the afternoon. "What the hell did you give me last night, man?" I asked. "It was what I normally give you. You're starting to become a lightweight." Dave laughed. "Hey Kurt, the manager needed to talk to you about our show at the Pageant in St. Louis." "Alright, thanks."

I went to my manager. "There's no opener for the St. Louis show tonight. Is there any particular band you'd like me to find?" He asked. "Who's the last band that played at the firebird?" I asked. "Um, it looks like their name is The Pretty Reckless. Taylor Momsen is the front." "Let's just go with them. I'm sure it'll be fine." I said. I didn't even know what they sounded like... But considering it's being talked about all over town, they must be good.

We arrived at the Pageant at 4:30, enough time to go inside before the lines started getting long... I hoped. I was wrong. The lines stretched way around the corner. People saw our tour bus and went crazy... I was so excited for that show in a few hours. It was gonna be amazing.

Taylor's POV:

"Hey Taylor, come here a sec." My manager told me. "You're gonna freak when you hear this." He said. "Alright, shoot." I stood in front of him, not sure what the hell I was about to hear. "So... A certain band needs an opener tonight at the Pageant. I just got a call from a very important manager in the business." "Who's was it?" I asked.

"You're opening up, for Nirvana tonight." He said in s soft but firm voice. "Are you fucking serious!? Nirvana!? Kurt Cobain!? You're fucking with me. You're totally fucking with me!" I said with excitement and disbelief. "I'm not fucking with you, Taylor. You go on in 2 and a half hours, I swear." He said. I screamed. "I'm gonna be opening up for the biggest band in the entire fucking universe!" I yelled and ran back to tell the guys.

Kurt's POV:

"I'm gonna go walk around for a little, alright?" I told my manager. "Just be back here by 5:30. That's when you'll meet the other band." He said. The coast was clear, no one outside around me. So I decided to take a look around. I looked at a sign, and it said we were in a place called "The Loop" on Delmar Boulevard. There were restaurants, clothing stores, and hippie shops. But what caught my eye was the record shop. "Vintage Vinyl" it said on the sign. I decided to go in. Hundreds and hundreds of records all around. It smelled like an old dusty book in there. I loved that smell.

I finally made my way over to the 60's albums. They had at least 75 or a hundred of them. Chuck Berry, the Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, the names seemed endless. But then... I found my all time favorite Led Zeppelin album. I had to get it. Even if I didn't have a record player, I just had to get it.

Taylor's POV:

"Alright Ben." I was talking to my guitarist. "I'm going out to the record store down the street. I know my way around here, so I'll be fine." I said. "Okay well, they all said to be back here by 5:30 so just make sure you do that, alright?" "Cool." I said, and headed out the door of our bus. I walked down the street and got an orange soda from the Fitz shop.

I was walking into Vintage Vinyl and heading for the 60's records when... I saw him. I got goosebumps and I knew that my face turned red. He turned around and looked at me, cause I knew he heard my heavy boots hit the floor. He smiled and turned back around to look at more records.

I decided to go over to him. "The 60's. Good music." I said. "Indeed." He answered. "Hey, you don't know by chance where I could get a record player, would you?" He asked. "Well, we're in a record store." I laughed a little. "Oh, duh." He faked a laugh and blushed. He had no idea that I'd be opening up for him tonight.

"So you like 60's music. Can I suggest some?" I asked. "Yeah, go ahead." He said and stepped aside. I must've pulled out a dozen. "That one's my favorite." I pointed to The Beatles' Abbey Road. "Yeah, I like that one too." He smiled.

I walked a little ways from him to another section. "Hey so, I'm playing a gig tonight at The Pageant. You should totally come." He said. "I'll be there, actually." I showed him my wristband. "Nirvana with The Pretty Reckless" it said on it. "You already have passes? Damn!" He said and smiled. "Oh um, yeah, I know a guy." I lied.

Kurt's POV:

I was looking at records when, this beautiful blonde haired girl walked in. She had these huge doc martins on, which were pretty loud on the floor. I turned around and look at her, smiling before turning back around to the records. She slowly walked over and showed me a few albums. I decided to buy all of them even though I didn't even own a record player yet. But I decided to ask if they had any.

"You guys don't happen to have any record players, do you?" I asked the guy at the counter who had his back turned while lighting a cigarette. "Actually we don't right n- well I'll be damned. Kurt Cobain. You know what, let me see if we can have one here for you by tomorrow." He said. "Oh no, wait a minute, you don't have to do that, dude. It's fine." "I insist, I mean you're Kurt Co-"

"Actually," I said. "I just remembered, this girl right here was gonna help me find one tomorrow." "I was?" She seemed confused. "Yeah, remember?" I winked at her to play along. "Oh, oh yeah! I remember." She laughed. "Thanks anyway, dude." I smiled and walked out the door.

I had a feeling she was following me, and I wanted her to. "That guy was being way too nice. I hate when people think they have to be extra nice to me just cause I'm in a popular band." I said and looked behind to see her. "I was actually kinda hoping you'd help me find a record player tomorrow morning. Would you wanna do that?" I asked. She blushed. "That'd be great." She said with a smile.

We walked up the street on one side and down it on the other, looking through store windows. We found a hippie shop called "Sunshine Daydream" and went inside.

We looked at all the cool skirts and smelled incense and checked out all the posters. Before I knew it, it was 6:30.

"Ahh shit! I gotta get going! I was supposed to be back at the venue an hour ago. They're gonna kill me!" I said and started to run out the door. "Oh fuck! I was supposed to be back too!" She followed me. "Why you?" I asked, "Uh, the VIP line. It went in an hour ago. I'm totally screwed. Hopefully I still get in though!"

Taylor's POV:

Okay, okay. So I was fucking with him. But I kinda wanted it to be a surprise that I was gonna be opening up for him. We ran and ran until we got there. "Alright, I'll see you after the show, okay?" He yelled before running around the corner. "Alright, see ya! Good luck!" I yelled. He had no idea that I was in bigger shit then he was. I had less than a half hour to get ready!
