The Rescue Operation

"alright we are almost to the canyon of claymore. We will probably reach the bone valley by late tomorrow if we push hard enough.", Kakashi said as the four of them jumped through the trees.

"I hope we get there in time to save Fuu and the others. It would be very bad if we lose them again when we finally have a lead and might be able to save them. Ugh! We have been jumping through the trees all day!! I'm tired!! Why don't we stop and rest for the night!?", Sakura said, exhausted.

"But we have a mission to accomplish! We can't sit around and rest, we have to rescue the jinchuriki!", Sasuke argued in a slightly monotone voice.

"Sakura has a point Sasuke. We need to rest as much as we possibly can. We are going up against people who can subdue 3 very powerful jinchuriki after all. Lets stop and set up camp for now to recover our strength, then we'll set out at first light.", Kakashi said with one of his closed-eyed-smiles.

"Now listen here gaki! If I don't get my sleep soon along with some food, I'm really gonna snap and when I snap, people around me usually end up getting maimed or even killed. We wouldn't want that now would we??", Anko said in a dangerously sweet sing-song tone with a creepy smile on her face that made everyone else shut up, effectively getting her point across.

They began setting up camp in silence, while still keeping their guard up. Kakashi decided to take first watch.

"Sakura, Sasuke, why don't you get some sleep. I'll keep first watch.", he said, climbing to a low branch to keep watch. Then Anko decided to go join Kakashi in the tree.

"I thought you were going to snap if you didn't get some sleep?", Kakashi asked, amused, but without sparing her a glance.

"Well maybe I wanna sit with a friend and chat for awhile, got a problem with that?", Anko asked with a small glare. "No...not at all.", he said with a smile behind his mask. They sat next to each other in a comfortable silence. Kakashi was peacefully looking at the stars, when he felt something on his shoulder. He looked over at Anko only to see that she was asleep. He smiled, then put his arm around Anko so she wouldn't fall.

The night passed quickly and in a few hours, the sun was starting to come up. Kakashi decided he should wake the others. "Anko, Sakura, Sasuke, its time get moving." Sakura woke up with no problem, but Anko and Saskue.....well lets just say things.....happened. Anko got up and moving, as if she was awake but when Sakura tried to talk to her, she responded by almost slicing her neck...then walking as if she were half dead. Sasuke wouldn't get up at all. Since he wouldn't wake up, Kakashi decided to play a little trick, though he knew he would regret it later. He walked real close to Sasuke and kneeled beside him and yelled right in his ear,"SASUKE THERE IS A HORDE OF FAN GIRLS COMING TO ATTACK US!!!" He immediately jumped up and got in a defensive position, but then he realized that there was no one else other than the team in the area. He slowly turned to face Kakashi. "Kakashi...you..." He started to walk towards him and he had a very menacing aura. "N-now now Sasuke...we c-can talk this through..", Kakashi said nervously while backing away. "...." Sasuke took out his sword and cut the tree right beside Kakashi. "C-come on...n-no need to g-get violent..." Sasuke raised his sword and was about to slash Kakashi, who had been backed against a cliff wall, but Sakura stopped him. "Now now Sasuke-kun, we need get hurry and rescue the jinchuriki, and to do that we need Kakashi-sensei to help us, so lets not kill him just yet...ok??", she said with a small this-is-not-over-yet-sensei smile.

After about an hour, Sasuke and Anko seemed to finally wake up. They packed up their camp after breakfast and started to move out.

As they were nearing Bone Valley, they noticed that the landscape around the valley was dead. There were no animals to be seen, the plants were withered and black, and the river that ran through the valley had greenish-black water and dead fish in it. This was very disturbing because they had passed through here on previous missions and it had been a lush green forest with many wild animals and beautiful plants. Now this place reeked of death. What could have happened?

"S-sensei...the forest...", Sakura said looking around at the dead trees. "What could have done this?" "Poison...thats the only thing I can think of that could cause so much damage.", Anko said glumly.

Just then they saw a wagon in the distance. They hid and watched. They could hear the cries of children coming from the wagon. "S-sensei!...i-is that what i think it is!?", Sakura asked, shocked. "...yes it looks like a trafficking truck.", Kakashi said. "Sensei we have to help them! We have too!", she said. "Alright we are going in this direction anyway.", he said tired. They decided to follow it. After about two hours they reached a dip in the road.

"T-this is Bone Valley?!", Sakura asked, amazed. Just then the truck stoped. The soldiers on the truck got off and started to get the children off. The poor children were in chains. We could see the Tower. It was really close. They started to drag the children towards the tower. "No! Stop it!! Let my sister go!!", a little boy about 8 said to one of the guards that had a little girl about 4 in his hands. "Onii-san!! Help me Onii-san!", the little girl cried. "Kia!" Thats when they decided to jump out and help. They didn't want to make a lot of noise this close to the tower, so they only used tijustu. They quickly defeated all the guards except 2 who were hiding in the bushes, waiting to attack. Just then the alarm at the tower sounded. RIIING!!! RIIING!!! RIIING!!! RIIING!!! RIIING!!! RIIING!!! RIIING!!! "Seven bells...SHE'S ESCAPED!!!! SEVEN HAS ESCAPED!!!!!" The 2 guards yelled. Then something unexpected happened. The 2 guards just slumped to the ground dead. They heard rustling in the bushes. "Come out whoever you are! We know your there.", Sasuke said. Then a girl with teal hair and pink-red eyes came out of the bushes. "Who are you!!", Sakura shouted at the girl.

"I am...Fuu...the 7-tailed jinchuriki. Nice to finally meet my rescuers.", she said smiling.
