PART 5

Amy and Adam finally made it to the laboratory. At this point it would have been a great time to reflect on what might have happened, had they have taken the cramped elevator instead of the stairs. Adam looks to Amy.

Adam: Amy, look at how much time we've saved trying to get here, if we had taken the elevator we probably would have been-

Amy: Wait where are the people from the elevator?

Adam: What?

Amy: Each elevator ride takes about the same time as we took to get up here with the stairs. If not, earlier...

Adam: Well maybe we should go check it out...

As they get closer to the elevator shaft they hear a small beeping. The small beeping was followed by small screams of help. They must have known that they were near the top of the shaft in order for someone to hear the beeping noise.

Adam: Oh my god! They're stuck in there! the weight limit must have been exceeded.

Amy: Well don't just stand there! I will go get help, you help the people in the elevator.

Adam: what!? What am I supposed to do?

Amy pauses, turns around and walks over to Adam.

Amy: You're smart, you can find something.

Adam(sarcastically): Thanks, I guess.

Amy gives him a smile and jogs down the stairs to get to the security office, because unfortunately for the people in the elevator, the alarm button doesn't work.

Adam(to the people): Hey! we are getting help now! Don't worry!

People in the elevator started to let out sighs of relief. Adam opens the door of the elevator shaft with a crowbar found in the janitor's closet. It's there in case the lockers don't open. There are parts of the building that weren't up to date like the rest. He goes to the elevator doors and pries them open to reveal the elevator to be about a foot under the shaft entrance. 

Adam: Oh...this should be easy. 

Adam almost jumps on but noticed the chord was actually stripped and was about to break.he thinks to himself on how this would have ultimately been killed after jumping on that elevator to get the people inside.

Adam: Hold on, make sure you don't make any large movements that would jerk the elevator! The chords that hold it up are stripped!

The people responded and there was suddenly no movement at all. The group was too afraid to move at all at the risk of their own death.

Adam: I hope Amy comes soon...

Kramer walks into the same lab he had walked out of not even 45 minutes ago. He looks around the lab (with the lights on this time) and finds all of the new advancements he could have built by now.

Kameron: Pretty impressive huh?

Kramer: My stars, OF COURSE!

Kameron: This is the advancement of the 23rd century, and it's only 2015!

Kramer: So was it like this before you opened the door?

Kameron looks at him with a small grin on his face.

Kameron: No...Nowhere near as close as today.

Kramer stares with astonishment.

Kramer: That's...that is impossible! how did you manage to build everything in a matter of four days??
