Mitchell and I run up to his room and I lay down on his bed as he turns the PlayStation on and gets Netflix brought up. Instead of a movie we pick a TV series called Z Nation. Me and Mitchell stay up till midnight watching this series and taking breaks to discuss it. The last episode of the season Mitchell starts flipping out. "What the hell?! That's it?! It's gonna end like that?!" Mitchell shouts. "Shhh. You're gonna wake everyone. There's obviously season 2, but it's not out yet." I tell him. Mitchell runs his fingers threw his hair and sighs. "I hate when they end like this!" He says. "I know you do." I tell him. We see its late and I grab a blanket and pillow and get ready to get comfy on the floor when Mitchell stops me. "Where you going?" He says. "To get comfy on the floor like I always do silly!" I tell him. He sighs and nods. "Okay Hun.." He says with a hint of disappointment in his voice. I take Mitchell by the hand and sit on his bed with him. "What's wrong Mitch. You've been acting so sad recently.." I ask him. "I don't know Carter. I have my eye on this girl, but she doesn't see the way I look at her, or even notice how bad I want her." He replies. I hug him tight and offer "Maybe if you tell me who she is then I can help!" I tell him. Mitchell just hugs back and shakes his head. "That's the problem. You can't help with her." He tells me. I look at him confused. "Why not?" I ask. He just shakes his head again. "You'll find out why one day Carter. Anyways why don't you take my bed tonight and I sleep on the floor?" He tells me and before I can object he's already on the floor so I just sigh and take the bed for the night. "Goodnight Mitch." I call out and he tells me goodnight and we go to bed.
The next morning we wake up late and have to hurry to school. Mitchell has a car so missing the bus isn't a problem. He always blasts some type of Black Veil Brides so we can loosen up before school. We walk into the school and go our separate ways to head to our lockers. Class seems to zoom by today and he next thing I know the final bell rings. "Hey Carter!" I hear so I turn around and see Mitchell zooming towards me so I drop my books so he can pick me up like he always does when he's excited like that. "Hey Mitch! Why so excited?" I ask as he picks me up and I laugh. "Oh nothing special. Just that I got the day off work. Wanna come hang at my house?" He says. "Sure. I'll be ready in a second!" I tell him and then turn to finish up at my locker but when I turn around he loops his fingers in my jeans belt loops and brings me back to me and hugs me from behind. "Hurry up little one. I've got a surprise."
He tells me then releases me and heads for his car. A little startled by how much I enjoyed that I hurry up at my locker and rush out to Mitchell's car. That's when I see the surprise.
