"Hey Liam! Sorry I can't meet your friends today. My parents want me to find a job as soon as possible and I'm only free today so I can't really make it. I'll text you later to reschedule. Sorry about the inconvenience. Bye." Dämmït, I thought as I left a message for the brown haired boy since it seems he really doesn't want to pick his phone up.

I received a text from my parents telling me I should find a job and stop being so irresponsible, ha, my äss. So why not do it now? Since I parted ways with Liam, I've been window shopping and what not. But now I have to find a job? That doesn't sound fun.

There's always more time to meet his friends anyways. It's not like their visiting from another planet.

I walked around the second story of the mall, seeing if they have any jobs available. None of the shops I've been to had any space for newbies. Until I got to Zumiez.

There was a tall man with shaggy-ish hair. He was talking to a girl and pointing to designs on a few longboards. I waited for them to finish speaking before I went to talk to 'bright-eyes'.

The girl walked off and started venturing on her own.

"Hey, umm, I'm looking for a job, and, uh..."

"A job? Hmm... You'd have to talk to the manager, he's currently at the front desk right now,"

"Oh, umm, thanks," shit, I'm so fücking shy. I thought to myself.

"No problem!" Curls patted me on the back with his huge hands. I managed to get an uncomfortable chuckle out.

I walked up to the front desk, hoping to get a job so my parents would get off my back.

"Hello, may I help you?" Said the manager. I read his name tag, Mr. White. What an unusual name. I think, sarcastically.

"I was actually looking for a job, maybe?" Dämmït I blew it. I mentally slap my forehead.

"Oh, yes, are you Ms. Emma Johnson?"

Okay, this shït is scary, how the fück does he know my name?

"Your mother called earlier, she said you needed a job as well," well, shït. There goes any chance of having a sliver of dignity in this hëll-hole.

"Uh, y-yeah," I uncomfortably laugh out.

"Your mum already did the paperwork," great, just great. "So... Your in..." He states, looking at me weirdly as if I'm supposed to know that.

I managed to get the basics from my new boss. I gave him a weak 'thank you' and 'goodbye'.

I started walking out when curls stopped my by putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, you get the job?" He was sure curious for someone I have never really met before. Suspicious.

"Uh, y-yeah, but, don't be offended, but what is it to you?" His eyes widened, but not in the bad way. His lips curved into a crooked smile and replied-

"Well, the other people that work are kindof idiots, thought maybe I could get a new friend?" He stared into my eyes. He seemed nice, I guess. I have to learn to make new friends anyways, or I'll end up with none at all other than Liam and Jamie.

I just nodded and he just smiled even more.

"Name's Harry, yours?"

"Emma,"

"Well, Emma, I think we could be great friends,"

I smiled to myself as I walked out. Friends. Finally.
