part 2 - finally an adult

my phone vibrates on my bed. "Spencer" is written on the screen. I call him back after I'm done getting dresses. I just got back back from the graduation ceremony about. I still cant believe I am an adult, a engaged one. Spencer proposed on the stage. now we are going to this huge graduation party at Spencer's friend house. I wearing this tight black dress and curling my hair for once. I just finished putting on my makeup. my phone rings again.

"hello"

" why didn't you answer my last call"

i chuckled "I was getting ready"

"when should I pick you up?"

" I will be ready in thirty minutes"

"OK see ya then"

I put on my tall black heels. when Spencer arrives he opens the door for me just like on prom night. He didn't dress up as much but I think the party Will by more of a drunk hangout. an hour later, and i was exactly right on how the party would be. In less than an hour Spencer was drunk. He was hanging out with a bunch of friends singing karaoke, I chuckled. He sang "grease lighting" while pointing at me. I smiled, almost laughing, and walked over to him and we started dancing. He twirled me around and then went to his knee. No! Please say that he isn't ... then all a sudden he pulled out a ring with a small diamond. the music stopped and it became quiet. Everyone stared at us.

"Nichole, will you marry me" he said. 

pressure started to build up. If I said yes, I would'nt be sure I could make this kind of commitment, but if I said no, I was the bitch who rejected the hottest kid at the party. but, maybe he is maybe he is too drunk and he wont remember this in the morning.

"yes" I said making a fake smile.

alchole began to spray every where. I reeked of it. while he was freaking out, talking to his friends, I grabed a drink. maybe I can also use the excuse of being too drunk to remember it. One after another, I started to get dizzy and blury. Then I saw him. Blond hair, tall, blue eyes. It was Jake staring at me from across the party. maybe It was the alcohle, making me see things. It couldn't possible be him. I haven't seen him in three years. Then my memory went out and the achole took over control.
