I got off the plane 4 hours later in Maine. I decided to text Ash first to tell her I had arrived safely. After a quick conversation I heard someone calling my name. "Kristin! Kristin Linns!" I looked up to see a tall, slender woman in her mid to late 40s was the one yelling for me.

"Here I am! Here I am!" I shouted.

"Kristin!" the woman said in her sing-song voice. "I'm so glad I found you! I am Ms.Canterson headmistress to Canterson hall. Welcome to Maine!"

I shivered in the cold New England air. "Oh my!" Ms.Canterson exclaimed. "I forgot all about how you people from Georgia aren't used to the breeze here!" She hustled me into her car and gave me a blanket.

"Thank you Ms.Canterson." I said gratefully.

"Oh don't mention it dear." came the reply.

I smiled, imagining all of the pranks I could pull on Ms.Canterson with my powers. You see, unlike most witches who only specialize in one thing, I was exceptional at all the elements. Water, air, earth, fire, shadow, light, and spirit. All bent to my power. I could do things other witches only dreamt of. With the power of all seven elements at your side, you could be invincible.

My mother had the same gift that I did. She said that following the path to achieving full power and full witch status had destroyed her life.

In my heart I knew that I, one day would be a full witch. I even aspired to be the high witch. But to become the high witch, you had to defeat your greatest enemy, and kill them. You had to sacrifice something you loved to the god of magic. Our current high witch had defeated Thernen, the god of the physical world.

You maybe thinking, wait; I never learned about a Thernen in my religion classes. Well that is because Thernen is a god in wizardry. And since wizards can not have mortals know that they exist, they hide their gods. You see, every god is real. No religion is wrong really. But no religion is right either. Because although all gods are real, they are ruled by the supreme god, Salret. It is really quite confusing and I do not feel like elaborating.

"We're here!" Ms.Canterson chimed. I looked up from the floor and saw the largest building I had ever seen.

"Oh my." I whispered. My new school was in a lavender four story building with large windows. I turned around slowly and examined my surroundings. We had just come down a small country lane surrounded by a forest of birch trees. There was a freshly painted white fence that surrounded the property.

"Come on dearie." Ms.Canterson said. "Let me show you to your room."

We walked up the stairs and into the house.
