(Ok so I'm trying something new, what Layla is about to sing is called Candlelight it is a really cute song and I thought it suits her very well as a character in the book so imagine the one singing is is really Layla. I walk on to the stage of the ball room, completely nerves out of my minded. This is so new to me that I was un sure what to do. Just benign watched by everyone was new anyway. I'm not a sure, if I'm able to sing, my theatre feels so dry.
I grab the mic thats in the middle of the stage, I look out in the crowd to hopefully see a face that I can look at well I sing. I didn't want to look at dad, cause he always gives me weird looks. I'm difficulty not going to look at me my cousin. He already creeped me out.
Looking around hoping somewhere is a face I can look at.
Since David is not here, thats who the song is dedicated too. 'I know it sounds really corny. but i can't help it'. I close my eyes, and think of what David would do if he was he with me. So I put my main focus onto that.

I look at the band, and nod, the nod as well, I look back at the crowd and start to sing

As I sing I can feel all eyes on my, I can feel my heart to beating not so fast now.
I can see my dad, grinning, at how I was singing. I don't know if I was good or not, but I'm sure I got everyones attention. Which I'm happy about, thats they are happy.
All I thought about was, David, all I cared about at that moment. I hope no one could tell cause that would be really embarrassing.
I think of his, brown, soft hair. And amazing green eyes to die for. I miss him so much, I want to hear his voice. I miss the funny talks we have together.
I can see that everyone is starting to dance, even though it was a slow song, it was grove, I wanted to dance. but I'm the one who's making the music. Dame it
I can feel my heart race, whats causing this.
I look around the room to see if anything changed
Everyone is near the dance floor and dancing but I see someone near the iron doors, it didn't look like any of the waiters. I tried to look closer but I couldn't had to try sing still. But my heart still got fast. What is wrong with you. I try to look at the dude again. And I realised who it was.
The person that I missed the most,
He smiled. God I miss that. He doesn't come closer, cause of dad. But I'm so glad he is here. So I put more effect into the sings, trying to get stronger and more powerful notes out of my throat.

As I got to the final part of the song I can hear everyone cheering, I look over to the corner to see his giving me the thumbs up
I giggle, and look at my dad to see that he was so happy, who bets he fan girling inside.
I giggle again, I walk down the stair on the side of the stage, to meet everyone running to me, with happy faces.

"Thanks dad" I give him a huge hug, I'm so happy
I look though the crowd to see that he went back though the iron doors
"Dad, I think I left something in my room, I will be right back"
