Back to the night

Hanna's POV:

            We laughed in sink as the funny character on the T.V. feel on his face. Maddie sat beside me wrapped up in the millions of blankets I had drug out of the closet on the cold winter night. This was our first sleepover and everything was going as planned. It was absolutely perfect. I popped a Chip puff in my mouth . Madelyn paused the T.V. and looked around the room. "Do you hear anything",She asked . I stopped smiling and listened. The sound of several cars speeding away was drowning out any other noise. "What the....", I couldn't even finish my sentence. My mom ran into the room fear shining inn her eyes.

" UP NOW", she yelled ripping the blankets off us. " GET PACKED NOW, MADELYN WE'LL BRING YOU TO YOUR PARENTS.....HURRY", she yelled then running out of the room now yelling at my sister. I looked at Maddie in shock then proceeded to do what my mother told me. " Do I just grab what I brought", she asked slipping her shoes on. I nodded and tossed her, her bag. " What the Hell is happening", she asked as we ran out of my room our still in our P.J.'s. 

      My mom loaded the Mini Van with food and family photos. She pointed to put our bags in and slammed the trunk shut. "Where are we going", I asked as we made our way back into the house Madelyn following us. " To go get your sister from your grandparents then far far away", she said grabbing my little brother Zander's hand. I grabbed the keys off the counter and made my way to the car. As we climbed in I heard a low growling noise and our neighbor made his way towards sorta dragging his foot. He grabbed my mom and she quickly shut the door throwing purse at us. " GO", she screamed." LOCK THE DOOR AND DRIVE AWAY", she screamed as she pushed Peter off her. "Mike will be there to I promise you'll be safe", she said tears rolling down her face. He bite into her arm tearing a chunk of meat off. 

MOM", I screamed trying to yank at the door. Madelyn quickly locked the doors and held me back. I screamed and kicked as I watched my mother be devoured by Peter. I turned around and started to sob into Maddie shirt tears rolling off my face like Niagara. " We have to go now", she said gripping me by the shoulders. I shook my head and protest and turned around to see our"use to be" neighbor taking interest in us. He started to bang his head on the glass and we screamed in fear. "Call 911",screamed Maddie making her way to the back near my little brother. My little brother covered his eyes during all off this screaming his little head off. I set the keys down and grabbed my moms purse to see if her phone was in there. I opened it and found a small hand gun. I pulled it out and looked at it in shock."Holy Crap", said Madelyn looking at the gun in complete shell shock also. I looked at the gun then at the man. " Hanna", said Maddie cautiously. I pulled the triger. The window shattered and the man feel to his knees."Hanna", Madelyn said softley looking at the now dead man slaying on the ground next to my twitching mother.

"Mom?", whispered my little brother now speaking up. I stopped shaking and looked at him and dropped the gun. " Lets head to my grandparents now", I said my voice shaking.
