"Congratulations, Ms. Pierce. You never seem to fall short of your presentations. Keep up the good work." Harry said while continuously shaking my hand firmly. He is such a kiss ass.

"Thank you, sir." I say politely and close the door to my corner office on the top floor of 'Burke & Calden Associates'. I love my job as a lawyer, even through all the nights filled with paperwork. It pays well but it's really about knowing the right people and persecuting the bad guy and sometimes getting the bad guy off.

"Ms. Pierce, you have a call on line one. It's Ms. Michaels."

"Thanks Sharon." Sharon has been my assistant for the past 5 years I have been here. She is like a best friend to me. Carmen Michaels is like a sister to me. We have known each other since we were in high school together. We went to the same college except she was a fashion major and I was a law major. Now we are both successful. She owns her own boutique that serves high end clients and I work at the top law firm in the country.

"Hey gurl. Wassup?" I say.

"Nothing, just got through with Ms. Bougie-Ass-Mercedes. She acts all white but she know she hood. She just lucked up and married a basketball star. Me and you act white for the sake of getting to high up places in this world but we can get hood if need be but she act white just because she has money. Pssh. Anyway, how'd the big presentation that you been stressin' over go?"

"It went gud, gurl. Mr. Harrison told me he knew I would pull it off. I put those lawyer men in check with it." I said while we started laughing.

"I told you that you could do it. All you had to do was wear something tight and those niggas would be so busy looking at your assets that you could have said the alphabet and they would have applauded." We died laughing so hard. She was right though. The Lord blessed me with an ass and average boobs, while Carmen was blessed with big tits and an average ass.

"I have to go, another one of my clients is here. But we should all go out tonight to celebrate though." By 'all' she means me, her, and Sharon.

"Okay, we can go to that new club that opened up around 9ish."

"Sounds good. I'll see y'all there and hopefully we can pick up some guys too."

"Gurl, bye."

"Bye." She said, officially ending the call.

All three of us have no man, sadly. Sharon just broke up with her boyfriend, Justin. He ended up cheating on her with some hood rat. We found them walking through the mall hand and hand. Sharon took one look at the girl and beat Justin's ass. I dont blame her. He deserved it after the way he treated her. Carmen, on the other hand, isn't the type of girl that gets into serious relationships. I don't really have an excuse. I just haven't found the right man yet.
