Chap. 3

We wake up to a rainy day. We make waffles with chocolate chips, yum! Maria

puts a handful of chocolate chips, I think it's to much. "You are to unhealthy!"

Joyce yells at her. Maria and I laugh. I put just a couple of chocolate chips on

and a bit of syrup. I don't like sweet things.

We walk to school together. It's only a short walk there and plus, we don't

have vehicles. We get there a bit late but we just make it in. It felt like a long

day, but it wasn't. It was early dismissal. We head home and flop on the couch.

Helen makes supper for us. She makes BBQ'd hamburgers. Home made off

the grill. They never taste good, but we don't say anything.

I go and wash my hands in Me and Joyce's bathroom ( we share one together ),

but she has already washed her hands so I go by my self. The bathroom is right

beside my bedroom, so I quickly hurry and wash my hands. I put soap in my

hands and turn on the tap. But when the tap turned on, I gasped in fright. The

tap wasn't pouring water, it was pouring blood.

I screamed and ran down stairs to tell every body what I saw. They looked

at me with a confused look. "Yeah right." Said Anna. "Go upstairs and take a

look for your self." I said. So she did. The others joined her, but when we got

there, it was pouring water. 'Water?' I think. I felt ashamed. No one will

believe what I saw. But I know I saw blood! It was red and also, why is it

water now?

"I don't see blood, Catherine." Said Anna. She rolled her eyes and went

downstairs. "I bet none of you believe what I saw." I said. They all just

looked down at their feet. 'Of course' I think. I just stomp down stairs

and eat my dinner.
