17. Remembering

Candice's POV
I woke up earlier with a huge headache and saw some people in front of me, where am I?.. "Hi Candice" the guy said, "Candice?" I asked, "yes, your name is Candice" he explained, "I'm Candice" i replied, "yes, and I know you're wondering where are you" h said, I just nodded really confused right now, "you're in a hospital" he said, "what? Why?" I asked a little panicking, "you got into a car crash" he explained again, "what?! When?!" I asked,  "two weeks ago" "Huh?" Two weeks ago? "Do you remember it?" He asked, "No... I don't remember anything" I said, I really can't remember anything even my name, "I'm going to tell your family that you're awake ok?" He replied then went outside, I really don't know what's happening to me, why was I in a car crash? Who is my family? Am I really Candice? I can't remember anything!

my thoughts were cut off by some people coming in, "Candice! I'm glad you're ok" a girl came up to me and hugged me, "uh who are you?" I asked, then she pulled back, "you don't remember me?" She asked with a really saddened face, "no not really" I said, "um I'm Abby one of your best friends" she said, "Abby?" I asked making sure, "yes" she answered but she was still sad, "and how about them?" I asked pointing to the 8 people behind her, "this is Shaun, Ryle, Luke, Bea, Jake, Elaine, they are your best friends, and this is Clara, Daniel's mom... And then this is.. Daniel" she pointed to every single one of them, but the last person she introduced caught my attention, he was looking down and didn't look at me at all, what's wrong with him? They all said hi and I said hi too, but I why don't I have a mom nor a dad? I asked myself,

After a few minutes we all talked about things about me, but I really don't remember anything, I keep glancing at Daniel who just sat at the corner with his phone and didn't even say a word, "hey Candice we're just gonna get some food ok?" Clara said, yes! I know their names "yeah sure" I answered "you want us to get you some food?" She asked me, "no thanks" I replied "ok, you wanna come Daniel?" She asked looking at Daniel, he just shook her head, Clara nodded and went out, once the door was shut awkwardness between me and Daniel was in the room, but I don't know why, "uh hi?" I asked Daniel making his attention be on me, "hi" he said and looked back in his phone, "so.. Why aren't you talking much? Are you the kind of person that talks seldom?" I asked, with a little laugh, "no" he answered putting his phone in his pocket, "then why don't you talk much?" I asked really confused, "don't you really know me?" He asked walking towards me, "um I know you're Daniel" I replied smiling, "don't you know who I am to you?" He asked, what? I'm really confused right now, "umm my friend?" I asked, he sat on my bed and looked down, I heard him mumble something, "what?" I asked, "I said I'm not just your friend," he said a little louder than earlier, "what do you mean?" I asked confused once more, "I'm you b-" "hi guys" he was cut off by Clara and the others walking in, "hey" I replied and Daniel went back to his original place,

I'm really confused right now, why is Daniel like that? He said he was not just my friend, the. What was he to me? Well.. Every question needs an answer I just need to find out what the answer is..
