Is this real?

22. One year later

Candice's POV
1 year ago. There was an accident, and until now it still hits me every time I remember things we used to do. It all happened after the party.

//Flashback 1 year ago//

"Good morning guys!" I said seeing everyone in the living room watching some movie, "morning" they all said. Daniel went near me and hugged me "morning baby" he said I smiled and went to the dining table to eat. But there was no food on the table. "Guys! Wanna go out to eat?" I shouted from the dining room, "yeah!" Then said "cmon" I said.

We decided to use 2 cars since we can't all fit in one car. Me, Daniel, Shaun and Elaine went with me and Abby, Bea and Luke went in the other car and we drove off to McDo.

We reached our destination minutes later but didn't see Abby's car, "where are they?" I asked, "I don't know. Maybe they went back home cuz then forgot something" Elaine said, "I just shrugged and went in McDo, we ordered the things we like and sat on a long table so the others can sit. But they were still not here. "Why are they taking so slow? McDo isn't that far" Shaun said, "I'm gonna call Bea" I said then grabbed my phone, I tapped on Bea's number then it rang.

I called Bea and the others a lot of times. Still no reply, "guys I'm getting worried" I said looking at my friends, "just re-"

"A car accident near a park just happened 40 minutes ago" we heard the new in the tv, "we have one victim who is able to tell us what happened" the camera focused on... Bea.. "We were crossing the street when this big truck ran over us" she said, the camera then focused on the accident. I saw a truck on top of the Driver seat side, then I said 2 more people in it.

"Guys we have to go now!" Shaun said, I nodded then became sad seeing Abby lying on the crashed car bleeding.

We went in the car  and drove to the park, there we saw a crowd of people surrounding a truck and a car, I ran pushing the people to see my friends, Daniel followed behind me and hugged me while I cried my eyes out.

We took them to the hospital, me still crying. Then the doctor who brought my friends in the emergency room, "are they ok?!" I asked him. "Well.. Bea just finished the surgery, she's ok, Luke is still in surgery and so is Abby"  he said then he left.

We've been waiting for an update about my friends for 5 hours, yeah 5 fucking hours, "they're gonna be alright babe" Daniel said comforting me, I just cried more then saw the doctor again, "updates?" Shaun asked. "The two finished the surgery, I have good news and bad news" he said I stood up fast and walked near the doctor, "Luke is in a coma and will be awake in a week or so that's the good news" he said. We stayed quiet telling him to continue, "sadly, the truck had a bigger impact on the side where Abby was and hit her harder then the others" he said, "what are you saying doc? Is she okay?" I asked him, he looked down then looked back at us, "no. She didn't survive.. I'm so sorry" he said, I just stayed quiet. Can't even cry from shock, this is just a dream right? Abby is not dead. No.

No. It's wasn't a dream. She was gone. A year has past and I still can't believe it. My best friend is dead. She's... Gone..
