「2」Surroundings

Yukine stared at Sora, his eyes wide slightly. It was....strange. He feels like he knew this girl but he knows that's impossible. Sora sniffled as she wiped away her tears. Her voice was soft and shaky as she spoke in a frightened tone.

"S-so....I'm bound to you now?" Sora looked up at Yato, causing him to nod in response.

"That's right." Yato responded quickly. Hiyori stared wide eyed at Sora and then smiled happily as she hugged her. Sora, kept her arms at her sides, feeling as if this display of affection was quite foreign to her.

"I-I..." Sora couldn't find the words to tell them how she felt.

"Hey, stop crying. You're with us now." Yukine said softly, not trying to frighten Sora anymore.

"I-I'm sorry, it's just...I can't...understand." Sora stuttered and Hiyori broke the embrace and looked at Sora in the eyes.

"What don't you understand?" Yato asked, puzzled on what was wrong.

"Where's my father?" She whispered in a soft tone. Yato's eyes widened and looked at Sora surprised.

"That's not good." He said plainly and looked at Hiyori.

"Let's bring her back to Kofuku's place for now." Yato said and him and Yukine started walking away.

"Yato, how does she know that, isn't she not supposed to remember any-" Yukine began but Yato cut him off.

"She's not good, Yukine. Stay away for now." Yato said, serious.

"Huh? Why? You said it yourself that-" Yukine was cut off once again.

"I know what I said! For once can you do as I ask?" Yato raised his voice a little. "And don't get angry," he said, "you'll blight me." And Yato walked away.

"Yato..." Yukine mumbled. Hiyori and Sora came and stood next to Yukine.

"He's just frustrated. He'll be fine later, he's just trying to figure out why Sora knows about her father." Hiyori said, trying to cheer Yukine up a little. Yukine scoffed.

"If he wants to be a jerk, so be it. Let's get Sora to Lady Kofuku's." Yukine said and smiled to Sora.

"T-Thank you..." Sora said, looking into Yukine's golden orange eyes.

"No problem, I'm Yukine." Yukine said.

"Yukine..." Sora repeated. Soon, they arrived at Kofuku's place and introduced Sora to her.

"Wah~ So cute!~" Kofuku swooned over Sora as she blushed.

"Thank you, Lady Kofuku." She said respectfully. While she was getting attention, Yato asked to speak with Hiyori and Yukine privately. Once alone, Yato sighed.

"Hiyori... I need a favor." Yato informed Hiyori.

"Yeah? What is it?" Hiyori asked.

"I need you to let Sora live with you for a few days. Just until I can figure out if she's a threat to me and how she figured out her memories." Yato said.

"Uh... Yeah sure, but why would she be a threat?" Hiyori asked, curious.

"There's a rumor...okay? There's a rumor that a regalia found out who they were in a past life...and you know what happened to their God?" Yato asked and shook his head.

He then whispered, "Their master died."
