Our story starts on the first day of school for our main characters, Ruby and Jane.
Ruby and Jane were in love with music and were best friends. They signed up to join glee club at the school.
Ruby liked punk music. She was a very nice person who went with the flow. Ruby was hilarious. Everyone who met her liked her.
Jane was into classic rock and was kind of a hippie. She was nice to people she liked but she liked to correct people when they said something that she was wrong. Such as improper grammar or something ignorant.
The first day of school came and they went Glee Club. They sat down in 2 blue chairs next to each other. They started talking before the bell rang. They joked about how this would be just like the show Glee. Then three guys entered the room. They all had very dark hair. The one to the right's name was Anthony. He was fairly short and Asian but he spoke English well. The one in the middle's name was Drake. He was average height with dark hair and eyes. He was laughing very loudly and oddly when they walked in. The one on the far left's name was Conner. He was the same height as Drake and had short dark hair.
Conner was complaining that he got signed up for Glee club. "Drake, why did you sign me up for glee club!" He asked loudly. "I thought you'd like it!" Said Drake, laughing. Conner gave Drake the middle finger and went to go sit down. Drake just laughed.
A very large, very loud lady named Iris yelled "OH MY GOD! DRAKE, CONNER, AND ANTHONY COME SIT BY ME!!" They all kind of looked at eachother with a disgusted face but then went to go sit by Iris. It was very clear that they didn't like her. Drake and Conner sat on either side of her and there were no chairs left. "I'll just sit on the floor" said Anthony. "No Anthony, you can just share a chair with me!" Said Iris. Anthony said "I don't think that would work, Iris. You're way to big" He covered his mouth immediately and walked swiftly away. He went and sat by Jane and Ruby, who were on the opposite side of the room. "Hey do you mind if I sit by you guys?" Anthony asked. "Not at all!" Said Ruby, politely. "Go for it" said Jane. "Thanks. I just called that girl over there 'too big' and I'm afraid she might sit on me" said Anthony. "Yikes" said Jane. "Haha well I'm Ruby and this is Jane" said Ruby motioning to Jane. Jane threw up a peace sign. "I'm Anthony. Nice to meet you" said Anthony. They talked a bit and than the teacher walked into the room. "Ok everyone. I'm Mrs. Young. Welcome to Glee club." She went over the rules such as no eating, no phones, and don't talk when she's talking. "Ok for your first assignment you're going to get a partner. Then your going to come up with some sort of duet and preform it on Thursday."
Iris immediately grabbed Conner's knee "You're my partner! Our voices will sound so good together!" Iris exclaimed. "Yeah..." Said Conner. Drake tried not to laugh and had his hand over his mouth. "Ruby would you be my partner?" asked Anthony. "I would love to, but I don't want to leave Jane all alone." she replied. "Go for it, Ruby. I can find someone else" said Jane.
"Well looks like we're partners then, Anthony!" said Ruby.
A really annoying Freshman who was in Glee club was walking through the classroom and trying to find a partner. Her name was Bertha and she was kind of short and had really gross short hair. She was a goodie goodie who thought drugs, sex, and alcohol were sins. Everyone she asked to be her partner politely turned her down. Jane walked over to the water fountain on the other side of the room near Iris. Drake was over there still laughing. Iris was talking about what song they should do and when they should practice and all that jazz. Conner looked very aggravated. Bertha made her way over to them. "Hey uh Drake, um wanna be my partner?" Asked Bertha. (She wasn't nervous about asking him. She just says "um", "ah", "er", "uh", and "well" A LOT) Conner's eyes lit up at the thought that Drake would be partners with Bertha. He smirked. Drake stopped laughing. Drake said "Well you see Bertha..." Jane walked by on her way back to her seat. "I'm already partners with my best friend, um... Molly!" He said as he put his arm around Jane. Jane looked at him confusedly but Drake looked at her as if to say "just go along with it". "Er ah Drake, her name is Jane" said Bertha. "Oh yeah well I call her Molly. It's like a nickname!" Said Drake. "Yep! That's me... Molly!" said Jane. Bertha mumbled something and then walked away. "Thank you!" Said Drake. "Anytime" said Jane as she started to walk back to her seat. Drake said "Wait where are you going?"
"To sit down?" said Jane
"Aren't we going to talk about what song we're doing and when we're going to practice?"
"Oh, we're actually partners? I just thought we were pretending"
"Well, I don't have a partner. Do you?"
"No" said Jane
"Well you do now!" Said Drake. They exchanged phone numbers and said they'd text each other when they should rehearse or whatever. Then Jane went to go sit down.
