For the first time (A JC Caylen Love Story)

Chapter 3

The sun was shining through my windows when I woke up, I look at my phone 2.30pm, I must have been tired after the long flight!

I look through my window down onto the street to see Sam long boarding away from the house. Great. What am I meant to do with my day?

"Dad?"

There's no one to be seen, but there is a note on the bench.

"Hi Hunny, we've both gone to work, Ryder is at his grandparents. You can hang out with Sam for the day if you want! See you tonight xx"

Then I see another note, this one is from Shar.

"There's no food in the house so here's some money for lunch, Get Sam to take you somewhere! Shar xxx"

She's so lovely, I open the fridge & of course it's full!

Well, looks like I'm hanging out by myself today!

I have a shower & put on some high wasted shorts with a crop top. Put my hair into a messy fish-tail braid & put on some light make-up. I put on my white convers, took one step outside & feel the hot sun burn onto me. It's insanely hot out here! I walked around a few streets & found a nice café called Earth, I had some lunch there and left.

I've been walking for a half hour & suddenly realized that I may have been walking the wrong way.

I quickly sent a txt to Sam

"Sam! I'm so lost! How do I get home from here?!" I attached a picture of the street sign I was by & sent it to him. Immediately I got a reply

"You're miles away from home! I'll come get you, be there soon :)"

About 20 minutes later Sam pulls up next to me, I notice someone is in the front seat so I hop into the back.

"Ashley this is kian, Kian this is my sister Ashley"

We say hey to each other & exchange numbers & twitters. We finally got home (turns out I had been walking the wrong way)

We're sitting round the table & Sam passes me a drink.

"What's this?" I ask & continue to read the label saying "Arizona"

"It's Arizona Tea....you've never had Arizona?!" Says kian

"We don't have it in New Zealand!" I defend myself. They just sit there shaking their heads at me.

It was pretty good I guess!

"So what's up tonight?" I ask while sipping on my drink.

"I think we're gonna Skype the boys & figure out plans for Playlist live" says Sam, not taking his eyes off his phone.

"Wait...are you coming to Playlist?!" Kian asks me.

Playlist live was a huge youtuber convention, held in Florida.

"Oh, well I was invited, but I was too far away when I lived back home so.."

"Well you could come now?" Sam says finally looking up & Kian agrees with him.

"No, I just don't have the money & I've only just got here..."

"Sure you can!" a familiar voice interrupts me, It was dad walking through the door.

"I'll help you pay, You deserve to go!" he says as he smiles at us.

Kian & Sam had gone out to get some food for dinner tonight. We were going to make homemade Pizzas!

So I decided to film a video since I'd been getting quite a few confused viewers tweeting me.

I set up my camera equipment in the corner of my room, which took about half an hour!

"Hey Guys It's Ashley! I just wanted to make a quick video to clear up a few things. I start talking about how & why I moved to California, which ended up going for a bout 7 minutes! I have a lot of editing to do! I move on and I'm about to talk about how Sam & I are related...

"So you guys have been asking me a lot..."

"Hey do you want to, oh..." Sam bursts through the door. He walks right up to my camera lens "Are you filming right now?"

I start laughing at him & don't even notice Kian come through the door as well. "Is she filming?" he says & runs in front of the camera. Sam & Kian both sit in front of me, blocking me out completely.

"Hey guys change of plan this is now the Kian & Sam show!" Sam says & they both laugh way to much than they should have! They go on about random stuff & finally decide to leave. "Come down when you're done, we got take out pizza because we couldn't be fucked cooking it!!" I start laughing & tell them to get out.

I finish the video off by telling them that I'm going to playlist live & turn the camera off.

It took me quite a while to edit the video after dinner & it was around 9 when it had finally uploaded.

People started going crazy straight away over the fact that Sam & Kian were in my video. It was great to watch. Turns out a lot of my viewers are also their viewers, which is cool!

Kian pops his head through the small gap in my door.

"We're about to Skype the boys if you wanna join when your done" he says & skips away like an excited little girl. He's funny.

I tweet a few people back. I notice Sam has posted my video on twitter. A few of the guys in O2L had followed me at the same time, so I'm guessing they're already skyping with them.

I close my laptop & walk to Sam's room. I just step into the room & here a voice from the computer saying "Kian! You didn't tell me Sam's sister was hot!" Sam & Kian both turn to look at me as I stop in the door way. Well this is awkward. Sam & Kian started laughing there heads off. (Side gif image)

"She heard that!" they're yelling at the screen. I walk over & sit next to them.

"Hey" I say when I see 3 guys on the screen all laughing.

"Oh my god that's so embarrassing! Why didn't you tell me she was there!" the guy in the top right had corner video, says. When they finally stop laughing at him, they introduce me.

The three guys were, Ricky, Connor & JC. JC was the one that awkwardly told me I was hot without knowing it. He was actually really cute.

"Wait...isn't there 7 of you?"

"Yeah, Trevor & Riccardo were busy so It's just us" Ricky says.

We start organising a few things for Playlist. Kian has been glued to his phone for the past 10 minutes, when he finally says something.

"Hey! Andrea just said you could room with her if you want!" he says turning to me.

"Wait who's Andrea?" I ask.

"Kian's girlfriend" Sam replies. "You know who Andrea Russett is right?" Connor asks me.

"Wait! You date Andrea Russett!?" I turn to Kian & everyone starts laughing.

We decide that I'll room with Andrea.

We finally sign off at about mid-night & head of to bed. I check my instagram & see the JC has tagged me in a picture.

it's a picture of his laptop screen with us on it. I hadn't even seen him take the picture when we were talking! "Skype with these cool kids, organising some playlist live stuff! Here we come Florida! @rickydillon @Kianlawley @sampottorf @connorfranta @AshleyPottorf :)"

I like it & comment "So Excited" with a little emoji with sunglasses on, & head off to bed.
