So far, this has been a very uneventful summer for me. I don't really have enough friends to do anything. I have read a lot though. I guess uneventful summers are good for that. I have nothing better to do than get lost in the chapters of a book.
There have been constant thunderstorms lately. I love thunderstorms, they are so relaxing. I'm getting really annoyed by them, though. I haven't been able to go on my afternoon walks.
I just realized that I forgot to write down a quote! I might as well just add it here instead of trying to fit it in at the top. I guess it doesn't really matter where I write things down.
"An arrow can be shot only by pulling it backwards; so when life pulls you back with difficulties, it means it's about to launch you into something great."
- Anonymous
I think this quote is pretty. It has a wonderful meaning, too. It's very encouraging.
Right now, I'm lying in bed, listening to my parents. My mom is yelling at my dad about something. Probably work again. He has been "working late" a lot lately, and Mom doesn't like it. Honestly, I don't believe him. I think it's too suspicious. He has never worked late before this summer, and he has had the same job since before I was born. He doesn't love my mother. It's not hard to tell. He doesn't look at her in a way that says he loves her. He never has, and probably never will.
It feels nice to be able to write this down, to get it off of my chest.
Well, my mom is calling me for dinner.
Goodbye,
-Sarah
